Sorry for dragging up an old thread, but what’s the current state of this project. Is it still ongoing?

Loved the Ju-88 special effects, looking more like Savoia Marchetti’s.

Watched it on saturdaymorning for the first time ever. Although there was a lot of talking the Hurricane footage was very nice, as well as the Messerschmitt 110 wreck. Pity that one didn’t survive. As a 1/32 scale aircraft modeller I was inpired by the Hurricane footage and after the movie had ended, I went out and got me the Fly Hurricane I kit. So I have been working on that since.

    Typo: should be AP-51.
According to photographs on the net they had quite a substantial production of fuselage subassemblies.
As they were planning to sell them as kits similar to the 190, chances are they are not usable for
    Mustang projects?

    Congratulations Dan!
A very rare turret, perhaps you can make a similar display as the Brussels museum has done with a new built Whitley tailsection.
Perhaps Elliott can help you out.

The pic that I have seen (somewhere) the discarded fuselage and wingsections were in outdoor storage.

I have been a reader since (ironically) the issue reporting on the 72 Spitfires extant in the UK (at the time, 1982 IIRC). Mostly because FP was very much into the aviation archa…… (well that name is also not to be mentioned here) at the time. Which made me join a recovery group etc. But since Ken Delve became editor the quality went downhill. FP still keeps the opinion alive that only Spitfires and Lancasters (and later Vulcans) mattered and the rest were less important. Nowadays I buy the magazine as a force of habit, while I have a subscription for Aeroplane which I enjoy very much.

But speaking of Spitfires, the same thing is happening here as well. When something on the aircraft type beginning with S is posted here you can expect very soon to read negative posts about it. Which I find a very negative turn of events and downgrades this forum. Perhaps more people should post more about other types, which is absolutely welcome. I don’t care which type is posted on, I like em all (except Vulcans).:D

Looking at the nice pic I think about the RAF Museums Ventura that has been sitting in deep storage since the eighties. The Lockheed twin family could do with some welldeserved limelight. Good job on the Hudson.

Well there are several collections of Mossie bits that could use some wooden donor material. IIRC Salisbury Hall has some cut up remains of one, and there are more scattered around the globe. It would always be good to add a restored static airframe to represent the breed (or should that be the swarm).
