And so many possibilties to swap them for new exhibits such as: A20 (yes still that one), B26 (the real one), Maryland (somewhere in the desert), aircobra (albeit flown briefly), Vindicator etc.

Stripping of the paint is like going back in time.

I wonder what that would have looked like, normal Merlin cowling and without the Spiteful tail?

Just a hunch. It looks like the type of jack that was required for NA337 during it’s restoration.

Looks like a flap jack as used on the Halifax (perhaps among other types).

Because they forgot to scrap it when the storage space was needed during the fifties?

Strange to see the lack of the large Vokes filter intake, but it looks amazing.

Strange that the Swedish museum recovered the tail only to have it returned years later.

I visited Cosford the previous weekend and some of the new arrivals were there such as Black Six and the Fw-190 (previously with the IWM) and the wings of the Gladiator were propped against a wall. I must say it made a very nice collection display of some very important WWII fighters. I had hoped to see the Defiant but that one obviously hasn’t moved yet. Although looking at the fuselage clamped between two wooden beams I fear some transit damage will be in order.

Not Hampden as they do not go over 100.

Why not do the right thing and support the rebuild of the Lincoln that needs a lot of TLC in Australia.

Ahh very nice, these are also a visible means to identify Stirling wreckage as almost any frame/stringer joint has them. Making similar items was my introduction of making parts for the Halifax.
