IIRC fitted against frame 10 in the flight engineers compartment just below the FE instrument panels.
Now you tell me! (used to have plans to have frame 10 included, but it stops at #9).
These were used in later Halifaxes where the fuel system was completely redesigned (Mk VI, VII etc.).
    Hope this helps.
    Perhaps Karl would be interested.

While you are at it you might keep on going and build the rest. There is a spare Halifax wing flat pack available in Canada.:D

    Thanks Jester,
Great pics, and also to see PN323 with the tail down. Pity it was scrapped.
Must be a misplaced childhood thing.

You can also try the Mushroom books on the Gladiator including some very nice 3D images and 3D glasses are included.

Hehe, all forumite’s projects combined would make a nice museum on it’s own.
When I went to Telford in 2013 there was the early Shackleton cockpit which you could see from the inside.
I told the guys at the stand show me theirs if I showed mine. I didn’t have to pay (but I did anyway for the good cause).
I believe there are more Lancaster projects undeway than Geoff’s aren’t there? Excluding Norman Groom and the other two.

Amazing and what a nice workshop. The luxury.
Almost as nice as a Halifax cockpit.

Isn’t a Mk 22 loaned to Kennet for their Mk 46 Seafire restoration?

Joking aside, if Mark has left the (forum)building we are all the poorer regarding the very thing this forum has been set up.:apologetic:

Curious thing is that most musea have their prize exhibits in storage. Why not show them to the public? The Stirling tailsection shoud really be put on display to give the public the chance to see the size and grandeur of the type.

Looking for (repro) 41 pattern life vest and (repro) 41 pattern flying boots to dress up the Halifax cockpit ( on a mannequin if course).
