Hi all,
Sorry for the delay, due to an unfortunate car-accident I am at home at the moment, and have no access to the possible Halifax candidates. Will sort that out soon. 😮

Hi Mike,
Money is not important (oh well) with such a project, it’s the fun doing it that counts.
Cees
Thanks Mark,
Of course I knew you weren’t slipping:p

:cool::p;)
No pics of ML255, apart from its tail?
Are you slipping Mark?

Hi Bert
Thanks for your message, in that case I have succeeded in inspiring at least someone!:)
Keep it up, perhaps you will have a massive brainwave and start something more substantial.
Thanks for all the kind messages chaps, this project has been a great deal of fun with me, Lex and Bram, just a small team working to create something.
Speaking like Bert, Andy Saunders is one of those who got me into the whole aircraft archaelogy bit..
Andy, if you are in Holland next month let’s meet and I will show you around the museum and the cockpit. 🙂
But the cockpit isn’t finished yet mind you.
Cheers

Of course not Peter!
The paint was still wet when I took the pics. The green was rolled into the wet dark earth to look like it was sprayed on. It really looks like it too. I was very pleased about it. Both colours are semi-gloss. All I could get without having to apply for a bank-loan. It’s a relatively small area to paint. The camouflage is ready now apart from touching up here and there. The demarcation line of the black sides nee to go up a bit higher, that will be done soon. After the bomb symbols and nose art everything will be sealed in clear floor polish to give more protection and also to give it a nice sheen but not too glossy.
By the way, late ware bombers did have a glossy paint finish as trails proved that matt black really stood out in search lights.

Couldn’t wait and removed most of the masking.
Ahhhhhhhh, Handley Page

As promised, pics say more than a thousand words.
Cees
Addictive isn´t it?
Cees
Thanks Chaps,
I will gather what I need and let you know soon.
Cheers

Hampden anyone?

Hi Elliott,
Not at the moment but that can change in the wink of an eye;)
After all London is my all favorite place to visit.
But paying for postage is not a problem.
