Some more info:
Very interesting topic, keep it going
IIRC Karl Kjarsgaard picked up a BP type E rear turret cupola/cloche/whatsit
from the UK quite recently I believe it went to Nanton (Peter?)
The complete FN 20 (type?)tailturret of Stirling BK620 is on display in a private museum minus perspex.
The military museam at Soesterberg has a complete FN5 nose turret in storage probably from a Welllington.
We have substantial remains of a Martin SC250 dorsal turret from a B24 on display.
Cees
Isn’t FlugWerk doing just that at the moment with the Palomino?
cees
Any Stirling?
Denys,
Great to read that so many remains in your part of the globe. I once was told that a BP type E was in a private collection in NZ, any truth in this?
Cees
ps
I am still waiting for a reply from my contact about the turret, I will keep you informed.
And a Spiteful of course, now where is that set of spare Attacker wings..
Cees
Elliott,
About the Belgian Whitley tailsection set up at Brussels, how did that come about.
Were you yourself involved with making the parts or supplying the information. Was the work done to production standard or just a mock up?
So are there any drawings of the tailsection already?
I know, questions but hey the Whitley deserves more attention.

Wow nice Whirlwind model, what scale?
Cees
According to Ian Robinson the Hastings wing also bore 57 prefix partnumbers, perhaps the strechted bits had the Hastings part numbers only. Anyone care to check?
Don’t let this thread get carried away too far by people’s own interpretations, just stick to facts that can be confirmed.

Dan,
Great project, thanks for putting this thread up.
Parts gathering in Europa must be difficult, the other side of the pond
does not help matters regarding sending over parts specific for the Kingcobra.
Good luck with the project and keep us updated regularly.
Cheers

I have the book on YAM’s project (and I agree about the general story about the reconstruction, the book is a longer version of the various articles that appeared in the aviation press, I had hoped on a much more thorough background story, but it’s a great book anyway)
And have a Hastings AP.
Will have a look in the AP when I get home.
