So has this been confirmed? Is Jackson really taking this project on? L:ast I heard from a magazine editor friend of his in NZ Jackson owns like half the WWI planes in NZ and wants to do a WWI flying epic…so to hear that he’s taking on a WWII flick is a surprise…but after seeing King Kong and what a spectacular job he did there I think he’ll do the movie some justice! But someone please confirm for me that he IS doing this??

Boy, some folks can’t take a compliment very well…
Directions to Britain (from Colorado) go east 2,000 miles…put on swimming suit….enter water….continue on to the east (with a northern tilt) for another 5,000 miles…if you reach France (god help us) you went too far…
Or catch a flight out of DIA but don’t bring shampoo or soap…MUCH easier…

I know some were brought to the US to be instructors….Dave Fain, one of our most experienced T-6 drivers out this way, trained under RAF supervision at Dothan Alabama under the tutelage of B of B pilots and when his class graduated, they were all grabbed up and made instructors for US pilots….so Dave never fought the enemy directly but certainly did his part to create the Army Air Corps that would go on to fight the Germans and the Japs…with plenty of British influence!!

Hear Hear!! Good job….I have been contacted by lots of these folks myself, including some girl from Colorado who just HAPPENED to be stuck in Nigeria and could I send her some money so she could come home? I asked where she was from, she said Colorado Springs but my suspicions were aroused, so I asked her if she’d ever been up ‘the hill’ next to Colorado Springs (14,000 foot Pike’s Peak) and she had NO IDEA what I was talking about, so my questioning became more intense…she then stated that I did not trust her (which I told her was correct, I did’nt) but she continued to try to get money out of me to ‘come home’…later in doing some research I found out the Ivory Coast and Nigeria are some of the ripest areas for online money scams…so watch yourselves!!

What about those who for some reason feel inclined to highlight a whole post and repeat it in a thread, where all of us have already read it! Especially the lengthy ones, just more crud we have to scroll down past to get to the NEW responses….We read the thing already, please don’t repeat the whole post again for us…if you have a certain part you want to highlight and bring to someone’s attention, great….but why repeat a few paragraphs that we’ve already read all over again?

Wow…was gonna say something but as a Yank (and apparently not a very popular member of the United States) I think I’ll just keep my trap shut and HOPE for now that those who I count as my UK friends are still that…friends….it sure as hell looks like I ain’t gonna make any NEW ones around here…
A NON member/ or supporter of the Bush cabinet,

Well if we’re not gonna count plane types and markings being accurate, ‘Midway’s story is pretty true to the real deal, as I understand it…
I dig ‘Dances with Wolves’…very accurate and true (as far as what actually happened to the Indians)…a great flick..
Anyone remember ‘Glory’ with Morgan Freeman and Matthew Broderick? A VERY accurate representation of the 54th Massachusetts, as told by Edward Zwick…just added THAT to my collection the other day, thank god…GREAT flick…

DAMN!! Someone beat me to ‘The Fog’…always liked it, have’nt seen the new one yet…
The opening sequence in ‘The Grudge’ where the Japanese girl gets yanked up into the attic..the rest was pretty predictable tho…
American Werewolf was pretty good…
Always liked ‘The monster under the stairs’ in ‘Creepshow’…
Has DAZ logged in his vote for ‘Jaws’ yet? I’d second it…
Had another one on my brain but for the life of me can’t recall it now…
