WJ244,
the first entry for G-ANFL relates to a de havilland DH.114 CN 14036
the second entry relates to the Tiger in question
dh83
There was no Heron ANFL – please have a closer look – it reads ANFF
G-ANFF was a de Havilland Heron 114 1B, c/n 14036, reg Oct 16,53
became JA6152 January 1954

Compared with this image of G-AWLW I guess it’s the Hurricane

What a great collection of amazing images! Thanks!
The 7 at Pinal air park were not recycled, and were moved in 2006 to Marana airport in Tucson where they remain awaiting buyers.

…only six to find on this GE screenshot…
Ollie, that would be XR444, ditched,as you say with fuel starvation on 26th June 1972 with 3 crew and eight pax : struck off charge a month later. It subsequently went to the Army Veterinary Centre at Melton Mowbray where it was used to train ‘sniffer dogs’….Regards, Brian S.
Sorry for reanimating this thread…
I’m a bit irritated by looking at these two images dating back to 1986/87 – 14-15 years later!

You can’t see the serial no – maybe it’s not XR444….???

c/n 270 was a T-29B s/n 51-5139 USAF, conv. 24/4/61 to a VT-29B s/n 51-5139 USAF, became N99653 with Westair Intl., later with Delta Air Service, scrapped at Ostend 1981 [WFU]
The last registered owner of N99653 was
DELTA AIR SERVICE INC.
CHEASEAPKE, VA
A bit irritating is this:
N99653 at Malta Luqa Airport, 15.09.1980 with Peacock International…
http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/000598630.html
Delta Air Service is the fourth registrant (USAF, Westair Intl., Peacock Intl. (maybe!))
Guess the first Convair is c/n 213 ex 50-0183
http://www.flugzeugbilder.de/show.php?id=581891
and the second is c/n 270 ex 51-5139
