I was going to claim I’d never flown in anything with a nosewheel, but it seemed I have blotted my copybook with a certain Pembroke! (Still ‘keeping it real’ only ever having flown in piston engined aircraft though!), similar to Blue Robin, my first was in Dakota G-AMPZ (now flying with Air Service Berlin) when I was about 10.
Er… *scratches head* what did you do your PPL on?
It is likely that your browser has adjusted the image to fit the window? Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, hold your mouse over the image for 2 seconds, then click the icon with 4 outward arrows in the bottom right-hand corner.
Not blonde are you? :p
Hi Malcolm, I might pop over and look at the plans Mick has. Are you working tomorrow, or is the lovely Ray? 🙂
G-AMPY, a genuine C47 mister. She looked like this when I flew on her, aged 10

P.S. Your 57p may be returned before Autumn
Landing fee? Does the nice man from Serco fleece you?
Here are bostin’s bustin’ vids. 🙂
First is of the Venom lining up (1.64M)
Second is of the Venom approaching and landing. (782kb)
You will need QuickTime installed to view these videos.
How big are both vids? Mail them to me and I’ll put them on a server that’s a bit more accessible for everyone.
http://www.dpreview.com is an excellent digital photography review site. Try it old boy. 🙂
Don’t think there is a shoot to down policy for GA. There are certainly no SAMs (may be one at the war museum!). Only chance may be for a Tornado to stick a Sidewinder up your cowling but how long is the reaction time?
I quote liked that car sticker that goes alogn the lines of “Beware the Cessna 150. 90kts and 1000 pounds of screaming terror!”
Report on another group stated that ‘VR was roaded down to it’s new base in Devon soon after the incident and fixed there.
One idea. The Maule is a bit slow but makes an excellent camera ship in that you can fly with a door off.
I’ll try and drum up some support 🙂
Possibly the wrong white balance was set on the camera?
I do, but he’s just turned 80 🙂
