Tomcat, our local district council acted the same way over Coventry airport when applications were submitted for a temporary then passenger terminal. The applicant were a bit slow on the non-determination route whilst said DC exercised a stonewalling tactic that former Soviet politicians would be proud of! I got the impression myself that local DC didn’t want to make a decision that they thought should lie with central government, especially given the implications. I know the Sywell plan won’t attract passenger figures anywhere near like Coventry has got with a low-cost op but still the MO does appear to be the same doesn’t it?

We haven’t met and I still have yet to come over to the museum for a chat about Deterding. One snippet of info we found out recently from a neighbouring strip was that he had a Cub as well as a Gispy Moth and a C182.

On the FOSA front sounds worthwhile for reduced landing fees. Presently I’d fly to Wellesbourne for fuel given the choice. Sywell’s fuel is pricey comparitively but it is our nearest strip and a reduced landing fee would ameloriate the cost differential. The automated machines I believe mean that we can purchase fuel out of hours.

Hmm I was all with after MBB reading these FOSA newsletters until things started getting nasty 🙁

    Have things calmed down now?

This is a pilot’s take on your question TT.

Happening across an ad in Pilot one winter placed by a chap who now lived on H Deterding’s former land (complete with airfield and hangar built by HD) and wanted to co-purchase an aeroplane, which we got for a song.

    In my defence m’lud…

That photo of britain thing on BBC4 challenges people to take photos with more mainstream equipment including camera phones. They’ve got some good shots, like WIll, by being in a good place at the right time (lucky ****er 😀 )

I would have written the same thing if t’other thread had never existed. Mutually exclusive dear boy

edit: DB has done the same thing but with better equipment and has got some really good shots. Remember the Hunter photos? 😎

Just trying to highlight a wee criticism as asked for.

    Hope I haven’t offended anyone here 😮

Composition makes a great shot and you have it in stacks here 🙂

You could of course spend lots of wonga on equipment to get crisper, more focused and stabilised shots if you want.

Hey I just remembered who “Will” is from Atlantique. We had a chat on Sunday.

    Wellesbourne 15 July 2005 – 96p litre (£1.128 in VAT).
Good to see Mick is not rounding to the nearest 5p like some!

Because they’re horrendously expensive to fix?

Time to write a letter to K. Ellis c/o FlyPast and ask.

In terms of hours, it’s VERY historic (seriously) 😀

If you know what AMC did before and perhaps for whom, you could make a fairly educated guess. But for a 747-200 alone, it will be higher than 20000
