Seems like the usual opinion of Ryanair and politics to me. There’s plenty of this no doubt over on PPRuNe 😉

KRJ – which airline are you a CSM for?

Continental A65 Please, complete with logbooks. Hours left SMOH not essential, its going to get rebuilt anyway!

Done an ad in Pop Flying? Just thinking about re-engineering, how do J3s flying with an O-200? Too nose heavy?

Okay not films, but I have downloaded a couple of old documentaries off of stage6.com. First is the 1983 Granada TV series on the Spanish Civil War. Finally I get to understand something of the story.

Second is the truly epic World at War series narrated by Laurence Olivier spanning 26 episodes. (You also get to see the old Thames TV gram).

The content of documentaries has certainly changed over the years. Most of those involved have gone and cannot be interviewed, whereas it was certainly a possibility in the 70s and early 80s. Modern documentaries rely overly on character re-enactments. The content also seems to be KISS so not to overly confuse the viewer – I had to admit the politics involved in Ep1 of the Spanish Civil War was tough going. Why shy away from it though? Even the journalists of the day seem to boil it down to poetic right and wrong.

Oh one other thing noticeable is this stems from a time when graphics were a photo and a rostrum camera, possibly NOT operated by Ken Morse 😀

Get a job as an instructor and get myself into a position where I am more attractive to the airlines
Do another Legends – it’ll be three years since I last went

But is that pragmatic though Chris, given Merlin parts and overhauls are more feasible?

It’s just a case of speaking to your local petro co rep and getting some ordered if you can’t get a decent local supply. AVGAS is about £1.15 plus VAT at the moment. You can get a discount for certain quantities.
