Sadly yes 🙁 After all the rave on the telly, there’s six places you can see it that I can find out of the big names, all being carried by Odeon.

    DVD?

p.s I ultimately want to fly commercial flights so any info on the quickest and easiest way (even though I know it will still be hard) to do this would be much appreciated.

Seriously the quickest, (hardly easiest) way still seems to be giving Oxford at lot of money.

From what I’ve seen of the ol’ faithful E6B, it will last longer than the plastic, British CRP1 due to it’s choice of material ie metal. Should be suitable but don’t quote me!

For marking the computer and your charts, stick your foot down and use washable OHP marker. If you say wish to remove part of your track line to read a frequency or feature, how then are you going to do so if using permanent marker? Unless you waving your chart around in the rain, non-permanent marks will stay there until you rub them off. This is easily done compared to the fuss created with meths/solvent and permanent marker. No solvent means one less thing to carry around.

Likewise pencil marks on the computer can be difficult to shift. Non-permanent OHP pen can be washed off easily with fingers if need be. If the marker starts to build up, a Staedtler Mars plastic eraser will easily shift any gunk.

Chinagraph by the way is old hat comparitively, expensive and you get through the pencils very quickly.

New southern half mil charts by the way are to be issued mid-March iirc.

Bear in mind, each aircraft is treated as a separate type in SA so if you say train on a 152 then wish to fly a PA28 back the UK, you have to get a SA instructor to do differences training. As there are very few UK-based SA instructors, this generally means a visit to Popham to see Irv. 🙂

How much additional housing does the Essex Local Plan call for?

This seems to be the landowner trying to sell his assets off for top-price. I guess all landowners would ideally like to do the same thing.

John, have you got a flight computer yet? I have a yellowing AFE-make CRP-1 whizz-wheel if you want it.

We’ve stuck both engines back on, but if they’re not developing full-thrust, let us know. 🙂

Skytrax again who are of course famous for loitering over people’s homes then selling photos of them.

    I think it’s a mis-quote, more like “a $100,000 plane running on jet fuel”

    Hi all

Looked out the window this morning to see a Dak doing a run and break down the runway. Very RAF 🙂 With distinct markings, it could only be the BBMF. Film crew were also in attendance with a BBC car. Is it on the national news then? Thought it may have just been local. I’ll tune in early!

Also later (unrelated) G-APSA DC-6 did some engine runs on the old crosswind runway. Lots of radial action today 😀

Something else in the public domain.

Any idea what Danger Area D216 nr Credenhill is for? 2300ft and why occasionally 10000ft? 😉

Yup their base and seems sometimes that they like to jump in.
