The aviation museum at Tao Yuan Airport, Tao Yuan County, Taiwan, opened on 31 October 1981.
It closed on 31 October 2014, will be demolished, and replaced by airport terminal 3.
From 28 February 2015, the 18 aircraft preserved at the museum, in three batches, will be transferred to and stored at Tao Yuan ROCN air base.

16:55, 150 km west of Okinawa Island, during training flight, pilots discovered crack on cockpit left side window.
After 25 minutes, emergency landed, at Naha AB.

Chuubu Houmen Helicopter Tai [Middle Army Helicopter Unit], Chuubu Houmen Koukuutai [Middle Army Aviation Group], JGSDF, based at Camp Yao, Yao City, Oosaka Prefecture.
13:40, at Nanki Shirahama Airport, Wakayama Prefecture, during landing and take off training, engine trouble, and crashed into sea, southwest of airport.
100 m from coast, Sai’no, Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture.
Two crew not wounded, and swam to coast.
After 30 minutes, rescued by firefighters.
Pilot: Major Maekawa Haruyuki.
52 years old.
Co-pilot: Captain Yaguchi Hiroyuki.
40 years old.
Helicopter sank soon.
Witnessed by people fishing at Isogi Park, Shirahama Town, and they called police.
At airport, training from 13:00 to 15:00.
13:45, airport control tower and management learnt helicopter floating on sea, two crew swimming to land, and scrambled Wakayama prefecture disaster prevent helicopter.
JCG would search and recover accident OH-1.
JGSDF grounded 37 OH-1.

After 11:05, during navigation training, became missing, and disappeared from radar, near JR [train] Masaki Station, Ebino City, Miyazaki Prefecture.
Three crew were two instructors and one student.
Pilot was Lieutenant Commander Yamamoto Tadahiro [39 years old].
Other crew were Lieutenant Commander [40s years old], and Petty Officer 2nd Class [20s years old].
Pilot had 2,500 flight hours.
Other Lieutenant Commander had 4,000 flight hours.
9:19, took off, at same AB.
11:05, final radio contact, when crew reported location, above Isa City, Kagoshima Prefecture.
Also reported because bad weather above Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture, changed course.
From Isa City, course more east, to above Ebino City, and Kobayashi City, Miyazaki Prefecture.
11:30, scheduled to return to AB.
Had enough fuel to fly until 12:20.
Isa City weather was cloudy and light rain.

500 m west from Yatake Mountain peak.
1 km northeast from temporary command post at JR [train] Masaki Station, JR Hisatsu Line, JR Kyuushuu.
Locals claimed they saw an helicopter flew low, and heard explosion different from thunder.

201st Hikoutai, 2nd Koukuudan, JASDF, based at Chitose AB, Hokkaidou.
11:07, before take off, for training, front landing gear broke.
At one of two runways.
The west runway closer to base.
At final check point, where engines increased thrust to check instruments.
Landing gear broke near wheels.
Aircraft could not move, and nose descended 30 cm.
17:00, removed by crane, and delivered to hangar.
One of flight of two.
No person wounded.
Did not affect civil flights at New Chitose AP.
Second training flight of the day of that aircraft.
First training flight from 8:00 for one hour was normal.
JASDF related person commented electronic, engine, and hydraulic malfunctions happened, but front landing gear break was rare.
Same Koukuudan about 40 F-15 grounded for checks.
Some would be checked by manufacturer.
Others resumed training flights from January 15 morning.

Lu was a J-15 test pilot, and landed on an aircraft carrier.
WEN Zhi Ping.
Aircraft was JH-7A during test flight before delivering to PLAAF.
According to witnesses, after the aircraft crashed, two traffic cops from the bridge and villagers risked explosion and fire, rescued the front-seat pilot, then the back-seat pilot.

According to witnesses, the unconscious front-seater was about 30 years old, and the conscious back-seater was about 50 years old.
The back-seater urged the villagers to rescue the front-seater.
The front-seat canopy jammed and couldn’t open, but the villagers’ brute force opened it, and rescued the front-seater.
They already phoned the emergency and police hotlines, but possibly the ambulance and police drivers were unfamiliar with the rural roads, and taking a long time to arrive at the crash site.
The villagers worried about the front-seater’s life, and decided to rush him to an hospital by a villager’s private car.

About 3:30 PM, crashed, at a wheat field, in a farm, west of Sha Wang Bridge (Sha Wang Da Qiao), Wei Nan City, Shaan Xi Province.
Nose and tail of wreck, were 500 m apart.
Engine(s) detached from fuselage.
Two pilots didn’t eject, and killed.
About 4 PM, four fire trucks and more police officers arrived.
(Amongst the crash site photos, one pilot’s body… was on the ground, near the nose, beside a cop wearing a white cap and yellow vest with white stripes.)
About 25 km northwest of crash site, is China Flight Test Establishment (Zhong guo Fei Xing Shi Yan Yan Jiu Yuan), Yan Liang District, Xi An City.
Rumour: during test flight, engine or mechanical malfunction, RTB, attempted emergency landing at farm, collided with ground, and disintegrated.
