    HC3 -Rubbish

    We should just have bought some MH47s instead and got a refund from the companies involved in this whole messy business.

    I think its the best out of all the star wars movies, because it fills in the all important gap in the middle as well as having all the action, humor and storyline that all the others have times 2.

    OK then, if we’re all so full of ideas, we should put foreward some proper ideas to improve things. Here are some of mine;

    1. Re-introduce corpral punnishment in schools, compulsary citizenship education for all children.
    2. Scrap early release schemes for prisoners, longer sentences (especially for repeat offenders) and make prisons more like they were in years past, eg. harsher discipline.
    3. Insetead of a ‘young offenders institute’, bring back the tough borstalls.
    4. Compulsary national service for young offenders (?)

    I also thinks that the uniformed prisoners in chain gangs used in the USA is a good idea. See if a mugger decides to rob an elderly person again after six years of picking trash in all weathers.

    What does everyone else think, any ideas?

    [QUOTE=BuffPuff]

    Did you get this info from a recent TV documentary about Robert McNamarra? It was on a couple of weeks ago on the BBC. I saw bits of it but not the whole lot. Hope they show it again, looked fascinating.

    Yes, that’s where this information is from. I managed ro see the whole thing, it included some audio recordings of President Kennedy discussing an invasion of cuba and the consequences, which was very revealing. If it’s aired again i’m definately going to keep it.

    Its a little fanciful, but I’ll go for;

    3 squadrons F/A-22
    7 squadrons F-35C

    Try telling me that this won’t make them think twice :diablo:

    Portugal also has a few EH101s, as do Italy, Uk and the USA (or rather the US will do).

    But congrats to Eurocopter, they’ve clearly produced a winning design.

    When Robert McNamarra spoke to Castro a few years ago, he asked three questions;

    1- Were there any weapons on Cuba, and did you know of any at the time?
    2- Would you have recomended that the weapons be used if Cuba was invaded?
    3- What did he think would happen to Cuba if the Nuclear weapons had been used?

    Castros answers:
    1- There were around 160 nuclear weapons on cuba, including around 40 tactical warheads.
    2- Castro didn’t just reccomend that the weapons be used, he DEMANDED to Kruschev that the weapons be used if Cuba got invaded.
    3- Castro was prepared to accept that Cuba would be completely destroyed.

    True

    Less than two per cent of the US defence budget is spent outside its home market, the report notes, and of this around one per cent goes to UK contractors

    I doubt that this value of 1% is accurate. Bae systems now owns United Defence, manufacturers of many armoured vehicles for the US military, so surely there must be a much higher percentage than this going overseas?

    They probably mean one will role off the production line at at rate of one per day, I imagine assembly even from pre-fabricated parts would take MUCH longer than 1 day.

    Ah yes, GCSEs. I did those a few years ago, on my final year of A levels now. Good luck everyone, hope you get the results you want.

    I believe the B-58 was retired due to fatigue problems or corrosion. I imagine cost came into it too.
