    PRISM funding

Just for clarity’s sake, the public funding usually referred to as a PRISM grant is, actually, a loan. IF the item is ever disposed of the PRISM money has to be repaid.

Steering away from the parasite types (but there was the Peacemaker (B-36) and Pongo (small fighters) you could call your loadhauler Nissan “York” and your scooter “Lancaster”

Hi Dave, welcome to the Forum.

I assume when you talk of a Trustee you mean a Trustee of a Registered Charity (RC). Twin Otter has posted the link to the Charities Commission (CC) and you should get a good idea of the rules a RC should work under there. In basic terms a Trustee should not benefit from any RC he/she is a Trustee of – eg a Trustee may not be an employee of the RC but can claim back expenses incurred. Accounts have to be submitted to the CC anually and all RC’s accounts are available for public scrutiny on the CC website.

Therefore, in principle, your comment “growing a toy box of increasing personal asset value” should not be valid. The RC may have assets (in this discussion aeroplanes/aeronautical items) but they do not belong to any of the Trustees. I believe that if a RC folds/closes it’s “assets” have to be tranferred to another RC.

Of course we all know now how expenses can be fiddled by people we thought we trusted. Also from personal experience the CC (who supposedly ‘police’ the RCs) appear to be something of a “toothless tiger”. Recently, for example, an RC in our field had a very large depletion in it’s funds that has never been properly explained and the CC took little notice of it.

Just finished watching it on iplayer.

Thoroughly entertained – an enjoyable hour where I smiled all the way through.

LindyLad’s comment should surely have been the alternative to lighter fluid? – a banger (given that next week is Guy Fawkes) :diablo:

Phillip Rhodes suggestion is good – perhaps the designs could provide for an add-on kit so those wanting all the detail bits could buy it and fit them.

Was out last night and didn’t get the opportunity to record it so I’m hoping it’s available on iplayer.

I’ve read of reports of cannon equipped Ju-87’s attacking B-17/B-24 formations, I’m guessing that they never did but it was one of thousands of reports, suggestions that they would have had to look at.

Interesting – anyone have a stab at the length of time for a Ju-87 to climb to the altitude of such a formation?

……… I’ve an A level in English, but even i had to Google ‘eisteddfod’ ๐Ÿ˜€ .

That would be because it’s Welsh :D:D

The rule about multiple IDs is unsettling. Over a period of years changing internet providers and e-mail addresses how many people have re-applied for membership of the forum because it was easier than trying to change e-mail address?? Being very much not a computer wizard I suspect I might have done!!

it’s called humour, something lacking on this forum.

    or sarcastic wit??
I’m with Kev on this. I’ve no idea what this is all about but have been tuning in to find out – I’ll wait patiently.

Donโ€™t be surprised or disheartened at the lack of L N A [Local Non Awareness].

Some recent Audience Development and Non-User research at Newark has shown that some locals donโ€™t know that NAM exists and theyโ€™ve been going for more than 40 years! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I also agree from past experience.
