I don’t understand why these ‘restoration’ with hardly any original material are easier to register than an (almost) exact replica built from original drawings (or CAD if some are missing) like the Flug Werk ‘190’s (and i know that this question will make me sound like a complete imbecile to those in the know!)
Some worrying news about an EC-121T 52-3417 in Aircraft Illustrated -it was flown into a University in Montana (big campus!) from DM in 1981 but is now ‘surplus to requirements; -they are keen to see it go to a good home, but they want it moved asap
I spoke to an Engineer at Cosford on Friday, and he told me the folks at MAPS didn’t have enough room to put the wings on, and when they tried it after delivery at Hendon it was found that they needed to be ‘tweeked’ a bit to get them to fit
