OK, why is it everytime I post a reply someone else has replied before me???
Change my option to F then
As opposed to option D proposed by Manu, I like the option of someone else doing the dirty work, so I’m proposing option E
Having the Mossad come in and take out Chavez but framing Castro for doing it and thus colapsing any resistance on my home soil though a line of mis-information about plots and dealings. With the Venezuelan/Cuban allience knocked out China and Iran would have no area to look to in the west and thus the balance would return to normal.
What I really really love about this machine is how small it is. It’s designed to present a small target should it be shot at.
IMHO I think this is a beast that is really under apreciated.
Mate I have to agree, the A-129 is a great little bus, especially in the new A-129I version with the 20mm gun on the nose and five blade rotor.
A version of this machine was offered to the Australian Army for Air 87, titled the Scorpion she had a choice of engines, weapons and electronics. I was sad that she wasn’t chosen, nor the Red Hawk (Denels offer of ther Rooivalk), but the Tiger is a great bus too, anything is better than an Apache or a Viper which is starting get out grow it’s frame.
Not really wrong forum mate, we just had to tie it in to military use 😉
King Jester: Mate any old ship could support a Schweizer helo, there’s litterally nothing to them, you’d do more damage throwing a piece of paper on the deck than one of those things 😉
Interesting you should say that old friend, the pic with the UH-1 titled “The Originals” was actually called Dustoff!
wonder if there will ever be any military applications of this huge majestic jet? other than carrying people.
They already are planing on a freighter version which could be used in the Strategic transport role, one deck for cargo, one deck for passengers and one deck for extra fuel.
Good news, great to see Vietnam modernising their forces.
What I’d like to know is, how many Skytrucks do they have in service now if they are buying more?
Ok couldn’t the AMRAAM issue have been removed? Sounds like someone somewhere is trying not to let the IN get too far ahead of itself
This truck was spotted in the US driving down the highway. The driver was protesting the War in Iraq, in his own way, I like his sence of humor :diablo:
I find it interesting that the Trainer versions wing folds up more than the firghter version, but gee don’t they look good in the flying tiger sqdn markings, guess this is conformation that the Sea Harrier Mk-51’s are going to retire sadly.
What would India do with them once they retire them? I know a couple of places that would buy them. I suppose that all depends on if they could be sold on after withdrawal from service.
If that’s a heli hangar, it’s mighty strange one, You have to land on top of it, perhaps, to get inside
Nothing strange about that at all, some Russian ships have telescopic hangers where the helo is lowered down into it’s nest upon folding. Very novel idea but saves a heck of space.
What I would like to know, as I suppose would the rest of the world, is what’s happening with China’s naval aviation plans?
Well now this is interesting, the K-130 class that is being built now is actually being marketed as UAV ready with two UAV’s capable of being deployed in place of the helo. I ecpect we’ll see more of this in the future, or even one uav and one helo.
I know it’s off topic, but how many hawks have been delivered todate? Are there any pics and which bases/sqdns are they flying form?
