If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be able to comment. I however didn’t pay for the privilege it was lent by a colleague.

Very little original stuff comes out of the movie world today, you’ve only got to look at the latest trend of re-hashing 1970’s US TV programmes, Starsky & Hutch, Charlies Angels and now the Dukes of Hazard.

The Few has the possibility of being a great film, though there will be the inevitable artistic licence. Snapper has had some contact with the producers, and has commented in the past that he believes the film will be true to the story, and we should not knock it until it is released. So I guess the jury will remain out until then.

As for remaking the Dam Busters, for what reason???? They already mess around with the original for PC reasons. A remake in this PC infested world, would take it further away from the real events.

A few out takes from the weekend in St Moritz.

First is of Cliff Spinks and Alexander Triebold from Spitfire Luxury prior to the display.

The others are fairly self explanatory.

Our room in Chur 81km north of St Moritz had a view of the Railway station, and we slept to the sound of the local Chav’s racing around the streets. In St Moritz it was 5 star luxury, dressing gowns, slippers, mini bar and a large bubble bath, with a mountain view, it was CHF150 more for the lake side. We still had to suffer the local Chavs racing around the Streets at 5am. Probably a different class of Chav though.

Well whatever you think, the present Mrs EN830 and I had a super time in St Mortiz, met some really nice people (Vanora McIndoe really made my evening, a lovely lady) and woke up feeling very fragile on Sunday morning.

The downside was the 1,600 mile round trip that we endured to be there and the 6 tanks of petrol. However this was eased a bit on our return to St Malo, while waiting for the boat, a chap in an Espace alongside us was boasting to his mate that they had covered over 650 miles in the weekend. The present MRS EN830 took great pleasure by remarking that we once had a car like that, slow, and that we had covered 780 miles on Friday alone.

Embellish as much as you can, stay away from fact, fiction works much better, oh and wherever possible add just a little bit of sex. But being a journalist you’d know that 😀

I am getting the feeling that this gentleman in Switzerland may have been very perceptive and registered the name ‘Spitfire’ in a number of territories, other than the UK. Mark

TD248 is owned by a structure called Spitfire Ltd here in Jersey, so I won’t be looking to register that name here. There goes my pension plan 🙂

Don’t you count on it, here in Jersey they carry the name FlyMayBe. You can virtually guarantee a delay, and I can guarantee you won’t be getting a sun tan at Christmas.
