All I can say JDK is that the anticipation of your reaction was excruciating.

Fan “bloody” tastic, we have been waiting with baited breath for it’s arrival.

Will it be seen sporting RAAF markings in the near future to replace the one being grounded ?

Not if you lived just down the road you wouldn’t, the place use to be a dump.

Filton was interesting in the late 60’s early 70’s when we use to get regular over flights by a certain Anglo French Hairdrier.

Does Ginger Lacey’s book mention his time prior to the war, I’d be interested to know if he makes any reference to Geoff Warnes, who learnt to fly with Ginger Lacey in Yorkshire.

Are a minority (you and your right-minded associates) expected to ignore the minority (obviously the wrong-minded with whom you disagree)? – Nermal

Sorry no idea what the hell you’re talking about, what’s or who’s expected to ignore who. And why are they expected to ignore ?

Thanks for the advice chaps, taking my time looking something to replace the 175-500 because it’s cr’p, however not too sure what to replace it with. After seeing this it may have to be the 400 rather than the 100-400.

Any advise on air to air shots, what lens is the most suitable.

Maybe you should, try harder in the future please.

It was nice to meet Patty again, just would have been nicer under different circumstances.

I heard at lunchtime that the chippie had been polished to a high sheen, by the OW cleaning ladies. Credit where credit due I say, so well done to the three Mrs Mops.

I have it taped if anyone wants to see it, drop me a PM !!!!

It’s got a special zimmer frame mount as well.

Unfortunately, Mk 12 is in Croatia at the moment to meet on netural ground, negotiating a deal with the Chinese over their Stirling.

    Nige,

With you on that one my friend. On occasion, it can be an unfriendly place for the new chap.

    Jon

It shouldn’t be, we are actually a nice bunch to know, you’ve only got to look at the photographs taken at the Red Lion, Whittlesford over the past few years.

Unfortunately like any community tensions and animosities sometimes spill over, thankfully this time they’ve been contained in this thread by the webby who has let the forum members air their views without too much interference.

It worked with the separate photo forum, hopefully in time the underlying problems that this thread relates to will sort themselves out and we can all move forward.
