Great idea, just shows what can come about through considerate dialog.

It could be worse, it could feature that pseudo Australian and avid English knocker Melvyn Gibson !!!!

I do believe that young Snapper me lad, has had some contact with the author and producers. I’m sure that he’ll jump to their defence.

At Chailey last year I met the daughter of a chap who had been on the same squadron as Fiske during the BoB when he died. There is a poignant note in this chaps log book about the incident. He and several other pilots went to visit Fiske in hospital, if I remember right it was in Chitchester. Fiske was able to sit up and chat to them and they thought he would make a full recovery, he died of “shock” early the next morning.

No! It’s a well known fact that Area 51 is located to the eastern end of Duxford 😉

Tell anyone and I am afraid men in long rain coats will be calling on you late in the evening…

You mean six or seven people carrying on a perpetual crusade for a ‘level playing field’ and the other several thousand getting on and discussing aviation?

    Good point well made.

    Moggy

I think I’m right in saying that the 6 or 7 you single out as being on a perpetual crusade, also make a large contribution to the Historic Aviation content on this forum.

Are they expected to sit in silence because of the actions of the minority, who in general contribute very little Historic content.

So what was this deleted thread about?

Can I ask, do you lot all know each other in real life?

    Jay

Depends on which one you are talking about.

Yes a great many of the people who contribute to the forums on a regular basis either meet up regularly or are in close communication.

By the way, Ian- it is not up to us to prove that Flood is innocent it is up to you to prove he is guilty. I thought you worked in a law firm? I’d think you’d know this.

What, you never turn on the computer when you can’t sleep at night?

A). It is also up to the defence council to prove their client innocent, just saying “he didn’t do it so there” is not sufficient.

B). No my conscience is clear, so I sleep easy at night. Funny how the other two band on the same evening were banned much earlier !!!!

Sorry where did the abuse come into this? No abuse has been thrown at anyone, constructive and objective criticism has been bandied around by those contributing to this thread. That is until now.

You prove conclusively with substantiated evidence that this moderator has not done any of the things that he has been accused of and then we’ll leave him alone.

I can tell you that he has banned one person on this forum for something he hasn’t done.

That he waits until 1 in the morning to ban someone, so that he doesn’t have to consult with the other mods. Let’s see who the so called personal attack was aimed at, ah his former love interest and his alterego ?

That he felt the need to delete a thread, that he knew contained poignant material from Steve Young, when there were many other options and then lie about the reasons behind that deletion.

That he gives out warnings to certain people then a ban; others get a straight ban with no explanation.

His wife chooses to use the death of a good friend to many on this forum to further their cause. Instead of censuring her, he lets her obnoxious thread remain on GD for all to see. That’s not to mention the vile remark she made about the said friend in her email to certain people on this forum.

I’m not bitter about my banning, like I said the other night, you think what you want to think. I know differently.

Funny how you have to fight his corner for him

    Ian,
I’ve had one of them offer his job to me already today.
If it’s that bad, why do they stay doing it?

May be that’s what it will take ? Mass moderator flounce.
