“Not sure about Princess Edward”
No one is…..
I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing him last week, he’s a thoroughly decent chap and the misses is quite a looker as well.
DOOOOOMSTER!!!!© :diablo:
How dare you 🙂
I’m off fishing now, looks like a great day for a catch or two !!!!
Exactly. I wish people would stop this ridiculous notion that the money donated to the Vulcan would automatically be donated to other projects if it were grounded. It just wouldn’t happen!
You seem to be certain in that statement, have you any evidence that this wouldn’t happen. How can you say that those people who have been acting like lemmings, by giving their hard earned cast to this project, wouldn’t follow suit and give to another aviation project looking for money.
Are you certain that if, say, the Concorde to the Sky project suddenly appears to be feasible, these people will not be lead by their hearts and blindly start giving to it in some rather forlorn hope, rather than using their heads.
About time the thing was grounded and the money put to more worth while projects. If not it will be a constant hole in the sky that requests for even more money to be pored into will be sent out on a regular basis.
Hi Ben
Did you receive something in the post ??
Kind regards
Ian
The organisers have a track record of securing some very different aircraft or acts, so a 109 could quite well be on the cards, especially as it’s a BoB anniversary year.
I would also feel that it might be for the Director of Rare Aero Ltd (a Channel Islands) company to register on the forum otherwise the legal standing of a statement posted by a third party might be open to interpretation.
Having resigned from the Jersey offshore finance industry in February, I can say with some inside knowledge, that it is quite possible that the directors of this company have very little interest or knowledge of historic aviation and/or covenant of this aircraft and therefore their input here would be totally meaningless.
Don’t believe him, folks. Sending me the Sunday tickets and won’t even let me reimburse his postage costs. Thanks very much Sir! :D:):D:):D:):D:)
I was expecting more of a “profiteering” type, outcry, reaction. I must be loosing my touch. Enjoy the show.
The “free” tickets I had have now been sold to the highest bidders. That’s All Folks.
Wouldn’t they have a name engraved around the edge ?
Sunday tickets have been taken. Still have two for Saturday.
I have four tickets going, two for both days, if anyone wants them, PM me. I can’t make it now. But get in quick so that I can post them to get to you in time.
Another former BM597 pilot to go forth. I met and chatted with him on several occasions at Old Hay, Chailey and Flying Legends, he was always willing to talk, a charming man and will be sorely missed.
Was the V1 actually the first guided missile ?
I would agree that it was aimed in a certain direction in the hope that it would land in a location to do the utmost damage, but that was a far as any guidance system went.
Paul
I maybe able to get something on the Channel Islands, but not until next week.
