It was OK, I watched in on the Flight Home the other day, however why do they insist on remaking films, and not coming up with new ideas ?????
I felt the ending wasn’t as good as the original.
Well done Martin and all the best, one question though, while you’re gallivanting all over the world doing interviews, who’s running the business ?
Also when the aircraft first impacts with the ground, the wheels on the starboard side undercart are torn away, however when it comes to rest in the desert, they’re still intact.
Passing first time doesn’t make you a good drive, it takes time, the lessons and the test are the beginning, and some people never become good drivers.
It took me 3 attempts to pass my driving test when I was 17, it wasn’t a lack of confidence, just nerves on the day.
Ten years later I took my HGV (Artic) and passed first time. Actually since passing it I’ve driven a HGV once, taking humanitarian aid to Romania 4 years ago.
I think it’s more to do with the way they’re killed rather than the fact that they are. Most slaughter houses are regulated with strict controls on the humane killing of live stock.
I saw pictures of the Seal Cull during my recent visit to the Colonies, and have to admit I found them quite disturbing. They seemed to be using a pick axe to dispatch the wretched creatures.
No doubt there has to be somesort of control, but there has to be a much better way of killing them than the “free for all ” annual cull.
Talking of painting warbirds i think its about time Sally B was put into accurate markings for a G model how long was the filming 16 years ago approx. 😀
I would think it has something to do with cost !!!!
As someone who has recently vented his anger on the GD forum, I feel belittled by your situations Steve, Becka and Dave.
Our spats pale into insignificance.
My heart goes out to you all, having been through the same trauma over the past few years ourselves on several occassions, I can appreciate the emotions that you are feeling.
Whats your problem with me then EN830. Have i said anything to offend you.
What problem ? I answered your question, I meant Hall and not all.
I think you were missing some words there mate :dev2:
Controversial, but which two are you referring to ? Allegedly there are a few !!!! 😉
OK you bods, First I was not a pilot. I was a flight mechanic at that period (1948 49) The spit running was at Lubeck on air to ground firing exercise, note the ammo boxes, Terry, my rigger is on the tail of the same kite. B is seen being unloaded at Kai Tak where we went in July 49 on the Royal navy carrier HMS Ocean. These following ones are all taken there ,except the one of me which was taken at Gutersloh.the one with the broken prop is a 28 sqdn mark 22, the erk running it up got the tail up but to compound the error he chopped the throttle and she dropped quick and broke her back.
Hi grounded, my late father was at Lubeck between 1946 and 1948. Mainly causing trouble in the cook house.
What are you talking about … ? 😉
Cheat 🙂
He dangles his little worm into the North Sea and they all jump out in shock
I know I’m being pedantic but isn’t that a Nimrod 1
Flt/Lt W F Barton, F/o J F Ross, Cpl J L Ricketts, Blenheim IV N6184, T/o Wattisham 16:00 Shot down by anti-aircraft gunfire, from Admiral Hipper and crashed into Wilhelmshaven harbour, F/O Ross on attachment from 48 Sqn
4 Blenheim’s from 107 Sqn lost on this sortie and 1 from 110 Sqn (C/o W R Chorley DCL 1939-1949)
15 Bleheims and 14 Wellingtons were despatched to bomb German warships, 5 planes from each force failed to find targets in low cloud conditions. Most of the remaining Blenheims carried out low level attacks on the pocket battleship Admiral Scheer and on the cruiser Emden, in Wilhelmshaven harbour. At least 3 bombs hit the Admiral Scheer but they failed to explode; the Emden was damaged and suffered some casualties when a Blenheim crashed on to it. 5 Blenheims were shot down, all or most by anti aircraft (Flak) fire, 107 lost 4 out of the 5 sent on the raid. The first Bomber Command losses of the was are believed to have been Flt/Lt W F Barton and his crew. (C/0 Bomber Command War Diaries -Middlebrook and Everitt)
So if Jets aren’t allowed at Legends, yet someone wanted to bring a wartime veteran ME262, Bell P-59, or Meteor, they would be turned down, even though these were WARTIME jets?
Hmmmmm…..that ain’t right…M
They may make a concession for the 262, but there again they may not
