I always found this a striking scheme on the GR3. Perhaps a small project for winter time? 😀

The drawings, tooling, patterns and fixtures are available.

    Mark

Would that be a high back two seater? I assume there wasn’t a low back two seater?

Yet another conflict to which the USA’s A10s are well (uniquely?) suited, and they’re considering retiring them?

It’s a shame that two regions with probably the closest ties to Bomber Command – Lincolnshire and Yorkshire – get completely overlooked. More so that nothing could have been organised with East Kirby.

According to Facebook, the flight was only very short due to an undercarriage issue.

    Congratulations to all involved.

Am I right in thinking that this is the first ‘glazed nose’ Mossie that’s flown since Kermit Weeks one?

I’m probably going to be unpopular for this, but I actually agree with some of what Tony Blair has said recently.

I think he’s quite right in saying that this would have happened with or without our intervention in 2003. Saddam was oppressing the population, and even if it hadn’t happened so soon, I believe that eventually there would have been a violent and bloody revolution.

I also agree that we need to meet this challenge head on. Showing tolerance to these intolerant Islamic groups will not result in peace, only growing sway for them. The fact that Al Qadea has an embassy in the Middle East is an affront to international relations.

    However.

He is a vile man, who has caused harm to millions of people. His war was illegal, and he should stand trial for war crimes. He managed to unite warring Islamic factions under a common hatred of the Western world, and has created a legacy of violence and Islamic subjugation. But it should be our justice that he faces, nor backwards justice systems from countries that still believe that stoning people is okay in a civilized society.

I can’t wait. 😀 The museums just up the road from me, and the IV is my favourite French aircraft of all. 😎

Not to keen on the suggestion that the remains should go to the Airworld Aviation Museum at Caernarfon. Far too remote for most people.

The only real interest I have in this competition is that I’m in Amsterdam this weekend on a Stag Do, in a group comprised of English and Italians. 😀 Should make for a good game, even if the footy is rubbish.

Tory MP asks watchdog to probe Oxfam food bank campaign

The Charity Commission is assessing whether an advertising campaign by Oxfam broke its rules by criticising the government’s austerity programme.

The charity put out a tweet speaking of a “perfect storm” caused by “zero hours contracts, high prices, benefit cuts, unemployment and childcare costs”.

Is it just me, or does this campaign have the foul stench of the Labour party all over it?

It is still a good and workable idea to segregate boys from girls during education.

That really wouldn’t work these days. Some of my ‘best times’ (:D) as a teenager were spent meeting up with girls from a local all girls private secondary school, they were far more promiscuous than the girls at my mixed school. And with social networking, it is next to impossible.

Brilliant stuff, should make for a unique display. 😎

I’ve never really had a good poke around the Harrier, is there any chance she could power up again?
