    Nice Gay colour ; )

😀 That “Nice Gay colour” as you put it is called Damson Purple, and is the most desirable colour for S14a 200SXs.

    Did someone mention Nissan 200SX?

Best car I ever owned. 200bhp , rear wheel drive. 70mph in 2nd gear. What’s not to like.

I’ve had a few MKIV Toyota Supras, and my favorite of these was a 500hp track converted one I had. I bought it pretty much as it was from Japan, it had been built as a track toy for someone, with no expense spared. Truly phenomenal car, and much faster than 500hp might imply.

Other cars I’ve owned of note include a 1997 Jaguar XJR (The I6 engined model), VW Corrado VR6, MK1 Golf GTi, Ford Capri MK2, Audi S2, Nissan 200SX.

I currently drive a 2002 BMW E39 530D manual, which to me is one of the great all round cars of all time.

Oye, had fun shooting down a few basic MiG-29 which lacked spare parts for years, had little trained pilots, lacking missiles, barely airworthy? Wow, big tough men picking on unworthy opponents. Try taking on the completely unproven Chinese J-11B and see what happens.

We’re sending you two of our Beaufighters, if that’s any consolation? 😀

There is KB999, but she’s remote, and her condition is unknown. She’s believed to have been broken up by ice, but is still probably the strongest candidate outside of a museum.

In the case of a big war, tens of thousands of war planes would have to be produced over a short amount of time, as in WW2. This is certainly possible given today’s massive industrial capabilities.

While I have NO desire to see any conflict, especially not a major one, I would be fascinated to see the Wests industrial machine in a full war output.

Maybe the Scandanavians would send us some flatpack Mosquitoes, as out furniture making industry is gone 😀

Watch the detonation of Tsar Bomba

A hill side with a good vantage point on the 17 May 1943, near the Mohne dam.

See the famous Mosquito raid against the Gestapo headquaters in Copenhagen

Watch the first flight of K5054

I think both viewpoints are valid. But, the Spitfire was more than just a tool, it was a symbol. The effect that the Spitfire had on morale in the UK during the Battle should not be discounted.

Were Sunderlands that terrorised by Condors? I’d have thought it was more likely the other way around.

I’d agree. The Condor is often remembered for being fragile and unreliable. The Sunderlands nickname was ‘the flying porcupine’. I’d also much rather ditch in a Sunderland than an FW200!

english is not as big before. their empire is dying.
it only make sense they work with other people now because not enough power or money to do on their own.

More people in the world speak English as a first or second language than any other language in the world, and that number is growing all the time.

I’d hardly call that dying 😉
