I think you are right, and I think if they get it right they’ll really hurt BA and KL in the pocket.

What they need next is ABZ LOS. With connections between the oil cities of IAH, LOS and SVG via ABZ an oil city with good point to point traffic for each of these routes I think they’d really be on to a good thing. ABZ TIP might fit in too.

I don’t want to offend by talking about the ‘other island’ but I always like to see pics of Aurigny aircraft or of the islands airports and aircraft in days gone by if you have any.

I think there was stupidity on the part of people from both airlines. The difference seems to be that at some point someone within Virgin was sensible enough to go to the authorities, and that was lucky for them in the outcome of the investigation.

What annoys me is that the BA people involved were not sacked they were paid-off handsomely. Can you imagine if I cost BA £350m?

Virgins PVG flights are on the A340-600.

I went there with VS autumn last year and found the timings of the flights worked very well for me, which is unusual when travelling east.

I didn’t pay much attention to the views at the airport, I was too busy keeping an eye on my 4 year old Godson, but the international departure area looks out across the apron through huge windows so presumably give good views.

If you get the chance use the maglev service from the airport to town, it is very impressive.

I thought DXB was operated by the Airbus. IIRC Virgin used to fly somewhere that was sensitive to such things and redesigned Varga lady with a full length outfit complete with veil.
