Is five FA’s for an A319 not overkill? I thought the mimum/average was 3 or 4
Depends on the length of the flight and the Club load Andrew. On LHR BRU it varies between 4 and 6 for a 319.

Tom, BA last gave all of it’s aircraft names when they were painted in the Landor colour-scheme. From the global tails scheme onwards only special or promotional names have been given to handful of aircraft.

That’s correct aiuk. The 747 is G-BNLN. Also the longhaul 767’s now have AVOD fitted.

Although I actually prefer the Yellow to the rather strange shades of Blue that they have been using it does look as though they are preparing to merge brands with DHL.
On a more serious note I do think what has happened to the once proud Britannia Airways at the hands of TUI is nothing short of a disaster for UK aviation and holiday travel.
I wonder if people in the countries served by the other TUI airlines feel the same.

If airlines had flights leaving at 0500 would passengers use them?
In my experience if a ticket is cheap enough some people will fly any time of the day or night, but still whinge like hell because they are tired.
It’s an interesting question though. I often book the 0700 LGW GLA flight when I am off to visit my family, thinking it sounds like quite a civilised departure time and gives me all day in Glasgow. But allowing for getting ready, walking to the station, train journey (only 12 minutes), changing terminal, check-in, security, etc. I have to set the alarm for 0400. Suddenly not so civilised.
I don’t think I’d book flights departing much before 0700 unless it was unavoidable.

Try their website http://www.flyvivamacau.com especially the ‘about us’ section.
Seems to be offering full service schedules at low prices.

Very smart livery! A nice idea for the tail is to ass some of the paint used for the smaller SilverJet titles at the front of the aircraft.
My thoughts exactly Lee. If they finish it off with a silver tail logo of some sort I’d love it.

That Ryanair flight in March was actually operated by Eirjet
According to the report linked by bmi-star the flight was operated by EI-DHX a Ryanair 737-800.

Is BA conducting screening of staff working on the aircraft or have you been told to contact NHS Direct?
We have an in-house health service department that we can contact for advice, reassurance or to discuss any symptoms should they occur, although that is VERY unlikely as we are talking minute amounts of radiation.

is this not bad also for the aircraft if it does get sucked in
Not as bad as for the bird.

I understand BA weren’t sure which 767s were involved, until they turned out all the hangar lights…
I flew on BZHA 3 times the following week, and it’s a pain getting to sleep at night with this green glow I’m emitting.

Can anyone name the background music??
It’s a specially comissioned version the Flower Duet from Lakme by Delibes. BA have used many variations of the same piece over the years, of which this has to be one of the most unusual.

And this closest to how the piece originally sounded.

I STILL think this is the best TV ad BA has ever had.

I don’t know why, but I just can’t see this one working. Of course, I hope I’m wrong.

Very apt that an Orange Air aircraft should be grounded at Jaffa.
