I can only comment on the Flybe Q400’s but I assume they are much the same.

Unless you are a lover of the front row, there’s not much to choose. They offer a one class cabin and don’t have exit rows (except the aforementioned front row) so all the seats are much the same.

There is the theory that prop aircraft are generally quieter at the rear, but I find the Q400 is fairly quiet throughout.

Porter look like a great airline so I’m sure it’ll be great wherever you sit.

not content with getting rid of their regional operations, BA is now looking to get rid of some of its short haul routes and aircraft

For a long time now the plan for the BA shorthaul fleet has been to go all Airbus, with the gradual phase out of the 737’s and the eventual disposal of the 757’s and 767’s planned as the Airbus fleet grows. Where they go depends on who wants to take them.

As at most airlines, routes are forever being tweeked and changed depending on demand, yield, economy, poilitics, etc, etc, etc.

Maybe a chance of seeing 737’s back in Flybe colours along with the A319?

Flybe are doing so well with the current business model I can’t see a change from Q400 and EMB190 unless they have serious change of direction.

Matt, I hope you don’t mind me adding these from a similar era.
Dan Air – Loud and proud! These sounded like an aircraft is meant too.

I think I preferred it where it was to be honest. 🙁

    Agreed.

We can now post commercial, airshow and GA

Only a bonus if (unlike me) you are interested in other aviation subjects. Besides it’s still called Airline Images.

I go to the photographic forum far less often, so now I’m likely to look at the airline images far less often

    I never go.

Does it really take that much effort to click on another forum

I don’t think it’s a case of the effort, for me it’s a case of if I don’t see it, I won’t think to look at it.

I don’t think I’ve ever quoted so much in one post!

CRJs also appeared in BA livery operated by SunAir under their franchise with BA

    Are you sure about that?

I only recall the ATP which I travelled on several times when they operated LGW-GCI for fellow franchisee CityFlyer Express, along with the current types, Jetstream 31/32/41 and Dornier 328/328Jet.

BA plans cargo flights from Manston.

Reading the two articles that title should really read ‘An airline, maybe BA, maybe not, plans cargo flights from manston’.

I suppose it is better than British Airways attempt, just! 🙂

    Agreed.

I think it’s slightly better because it’s less cluttered. Maybe the BA one would look better if it didn’t have the blue underside or the speedmarque above the BA title.

Really all the Oneworld logojets so far (except the JAL OW launch livery) just look cobbled together. Personally I think they either shouldn’t have bothered OR go the whole hog and design one Oneworld livery for each member to use on a few aircraft.

Actually from that angle the BA logojet isn’t quite so awful.

Although not caught at the best angle I do love the Thai livery on the A340. Every bit a beautiful as the A380 is pig ugly in any scheme.
