I am sure The Shuttleworth collection are keen on the Demon, it depends on how much they have in the kitty. I wonder if they regret buying the Wildcat 😉

I hope it stays here, the rarity of spares must be prohibitive.

You would think they would be keen on her. I hope they are and put something together too keep her over here!

Looking at those shots of the Demon just makes me beg it stays over here in good hands. Such a beautiful machine.

I’m guessing the Hawker Demon will fly in tomorrow.

    Septic.

Apologise if I missed anything, but why will the Demon be flying into DX today??

Edit: Just realised the auction is the same company that are selling the Demon.

P7350 is now in 41 SQN markings by the looks of things from Goodwood.

    Aggie had a knighthood?

I thought this as well. Everyone else including local papers were referring too him as Sir John Agnew so I went with it! Followed the crowds. 😉

Next year they were planning on having a commemorative event in honour for the airmen of the USAAF’s 8th Air Force, who arrived at the airfield 70 years ago. Such sadness to lose Sir John Agnew. A couple chaps contacted the museum asking about next years event, and they said that there are no plans for Rougham Airfield to stage any of it’s own events in 2012. Not looking good at all.
