TFC have a Glad?! Blimey thatβs news to me…
I must be in the minority here, but I much prefer Chabbert. I love his passion and the way he brings out the romance in aviation. He’s very much part of the Legends furniture for me and it was great to have him back. I’ve had a fabulous few days down at Duxford with splendid company throughout. You can’t beat the Legends atmosphere right from the pre show days and up through the show days. Bring on 2016! :very_drunk:
Soon…
Can’t wait to hear word that a particular one has arrived, it’s orange, says Hapag-Lloyd on the side and has some graffiti over their blue logo on one side.
I guess we will just have to keep Czeching the Duxford Diary. It’ll certainly brighten up our day!… π
A truly gifted man. RIP Sir.
Heads up Duxford gang…
“planning to fly the Yak-3 tomorrow(Wednesday) to Duxford, display practice..”
From Will Greenwood’s Axis Air Displays Facebook page.
It’s a fabulous read. Another article I found particularly interesting was Dave Southwood’s. What a career he’s had.
HAC’s Fury has flown again. Testing is set to be continued over the next few weeks.
Fantastic news.
James
Now that is a crying shame.
Excellent timeline there Duxman. How lucky we have been to have had her over here all these years indeed.
Very sad news but not as hard hitting considering we got a good season out of her last year. Mr Grey Jnr certainly showed her off at Legends! :eagerness:
Thanks for the memories!
I was, of course, jesting – sarcasm and the like sometimes doesn’t translate well online! The real miracle would be seeing three EADS 109s flying, rather than bent in a hangar in Germany. π
I suppose they could drive the CASA fuselage (complete with re-enactors, naturally) up and down the taxiway on the back of a low-loader, but that might not have the desired effect (and I fear for it taking on those tight corners down by the tank bank and Area 51).
Would this be done to the Benny Hill theme?!…
Isn’t there a flugwerk machine nearing flight in Sweden?
Yes there is. The last pictures I saw of her certainly didn’t look far off completion.
Hoping the event will return. It really is a truly magical place. A place you could call home and along with good company it is hard to beat!
I shall miss the French glider trailers… :very_drunk:
Hoping that one of resident toggies can hunt out one or two lovely photos of the delicious flying display we have just been treated to here at Duxford π Even from the north side it looked spectacular!
‘434?
An amazing achievement from Spinky! Congratulations to him.
Hope he is the man at Old Warden on Sunday now… π
