Unfortunately my days of freeloading are over since the closed Filton. They had impressive air days and I could see whatever turned up from my back garden. I must admit seeing the A 380 fly over my house at an estimated 500ft a little disconcerting though. Over the years I must have seen everything of interest from VC10’s in primer before entering service the Vulcan and F111’s superb aerobatics from Spits and Mustangs and many displays from the Reds. The one that made me look up was the Vulcan that did a flypast at a fair height and even then it rattled the china(and my cats nerves) I still see Concorde most days rotting gently away. I wish they would get her under cover or give it away to someone who would!
