My wife’s cousins husband is 74 and has altzimers he will not give up driving and happily drives through red lights. She try’s to stop him but he becomes aggressive and violent. This is an accident waiting to happen but how to stop it? If you live in the Horndean area be aware of a dark blue Mondeo because the driver shore as hell is not!

You know you can block cold calls

Not with Virgin you can’t. You get Mickey Mouse numbers, number unavailable or a this call cannot transmit numbers. My way is I don’t answer the phone unless I recognise the number and leave it to the answerphone. Cold callers never leave a message.

I agree with Meddle and as an old fart of 69 and seen some one close die of anorexia I feel insulted by Jon Greens statement.

I suppose his answer to all mental illness is pull yourself together stop shirking and get on with things!

I am sorry for them but if they stopped breeding if they could not support their offspring and practised birth control the problem would go away. The Roman Catholic Church has a lot to answer for this as well.(God rot them)

E&OE perhaps? or I believe the EU makes a two year guarantee compulsory. If its something else let me know and I will get a “no win no fee” company to sue my Lawyer for causing me undue worry after reading your post!

I wanted to send some sort of holiday greeting to my forum friends, but it is difficult in today’s world to know exactly what to say without offending someone. So I met with my lawyer yesterday, and on his advice I wish to say the following: Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally -conscious, socially-responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday practised with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2015, but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishes. By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. The wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher . Best Regards (without prejudice),

    Paul

If only “Tommy and Fritz” said “sod this for a game of soldiers!” put down their weapons and just went home. Who could stop them, try or punish a whole army?

No, Taxes are being paid, just not in the UK.

I pay my ebay fees every month, but pay Luxembourg rates, not English. Now, I don’t mind that too much, as it makes it a bit cheaper for me, but if you add up the lost revenue, it makes a fair difference.

Personally, I believe that if you market goods or services in a specific country, AND have a base of some form in that country, then you have to pay the taxes that are generated in that country. For the big companies that isn’t very common.

Bit two faced Bruce OK for you to save a few quid but not OK on a larger scale?

If I have read that wrong its the Gordon’s and tonic in ample quantities!

The world is a sadder place tonight Thankyou Sir for risking your life so that we can live in freedom. Blue Skies.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
    And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, –and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of –Wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air…
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark or even eagle flew —
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
