There should be still a couple of Afghan MiG 21 Bis in flying conditions with a new camo and hand painted bort numbers.
As pictures are worth a thousand and one words, let’s go through the highly enjoyable task of posting at least one aircraft from all the nations that was exported to!!!

A is for Albania!
An Albanian J-5!!!
My friend,
Albania never got any J-5. It received in fact Soviet built MiG 17 via China in 1962. It got later one the JJ-5 or the FT-5.
A Chinese JJ-7 ( equivalent of MiG 21 US)

F-7II of the former Iraqi Air Force
Impresive pics really. It is a pity that some of the pics inside the caverns didnt’t benefit from more ilumination
Apparently the AAF has resorted to painting a camo version on the few surviving Y-5 ( An -2). First time I see such thing.
Saudi F-5 pics
Yes indeed dude. You are quite right.
Czech Air Force MiG 21UM in their latest NATO style camo and low visibility insignia.
Canpark dude,
Since Albania had only 12 J-7 in its inventory and later lost two of them , I have the impression we have seen by now pics of every J-7 left in the country. In terms of modelling those ac are rather monotonous. They are all painted in the whitish camo with only the numbers changing. Howewer the following bad quality pic depicts an exemplary with seemingly the cocpit frames painted in dark green.
Thanks dude for the information,
In relation to tragic accident that took the life of pilot Sadiku in 1982 I assume it was the second and the last accident involving the dozens J-7 Albania got in 1971 from PRC.
And concerning forced labour camps attitude I don’t think I am blowing it that much. Many Albanian militaries ended up there being acused of nonsenses. By the way, how do you explain the fact that no Albanian pilots ever defected during Communism ?
Were they chosen by political criterias only ?
The newest Mig 21 MF in circulation worldwide, alias the J-7 III
Kapedani,
Do you have more precise timing about the episodes you describe? I have the impression that there was only one Yugoslav Thunderjet forced to land. Was it in the 60′ or in the 70′? And what happened afterwards to the J-7 pilot that strayed to Yugoslav airspace ? Was he eventually sent to some forced labor camp as was the quick habit of the Albanian Commies?
