All well and good, provided it doesn’t get thrown around like a Pitts Special as seems normal for UK displays. I’d prefer to see it come back to this side of the pond completely intact, thanks very much.

Steady on old chap
Hmmmmm! That would be goooooooood 😉
I have watched this project from the very start and can assure you that it started as far more than a dataplate.
It makes me very cross that when people invest a huge amount of time and effort, not to mention money in restoring a warbird that people have to use phrases such as “questionable identity”
I agree Y11F.
How is it progressing? Is there a target date for first flight?
Will it be at…? 😀 😀 😀 😀
OK Chris, send me a PM with your address and they will go in the post tonight.
Thanks Steve, PM sent! 🙂
Hmmm, looking forward to it! Does anyone know how far she is from completion?
Yes please!
H-75 next? Along with P-39? Yes please
I’m working on it 😉
P-39 is nearly finished, 80%. H-75 is about 30% done.
Also, Merlins over Malta Pack coming very soon, so watch out!
May I suggest sending an email?
Of course you may suggest it! In fact i might just take you up on your recommendation 😀 😀
d’oh, didn’t think of that…

My games broke 🙁 Sorry chaps no IL2 contributions from me 🙁

Nice shots of my Princess Liz and Hurri R4118 there KZ! 😀 😉
Hmmmm…. I’ve got a few screenies lurking about… how about these…
I saw it doing some mild aeros over Ford on Wednesday, was that your dad? 🙂
If it was between 5 and 6pm then yes 😀
Was Andrew Edie driving?
Nope. It was a chap called Simon McKinnon i think.
It’s certainly made me want to get airborne again and i wasn’t even in the thing! The bit that did it for me, i must say was the ‘Ray Hanna’ style run and break… 20ft low and fast… hmmmm 😀
Thanks Glenn, now Mark 12 or I will have to shoot Chris 🙂
Why, wot ave i dun guv’nor?! :p
Yes to the temporary blue U2 repaint! At the moment I do not know when Dad is going to do this. I can say it will be soon because in 5 weeks time today we hope to have the two aircraft positioned at the foot of Italy ready to fly their final leg into Grand Harbour.
The slipper tank idea was deemed unfeasible and there are enough airfields along the way to stop at.
We will be at Rougham this weekend so if you are there come along and pay us a visit. As I said in the CAF Air Sho’ 2005 raffle thread, we are still fundraising so come along and support us!
Glenn
I look forward t seeing it Glenn, thanks for the update! It’s a shame the slipper tank idea was abandoned. I think, although not particularly pleasing to the eye, it would have been quite interesting to see one fitted to a modern restoration.
I don’t think i’ll be able to make Rougham i’m afraid, but i have got my eye on that corgi set! 😀
Good Luck with it all.
