I’m pretty sure it was all three, but I haven’t watched the video in a while (it was the Spitfire Airshowvideo that came out in 1996)

Any idea where i can get this video? is it still available!? :confused:

Good luck Glenn! I hope all goes well for you and the team, i think it’s marvellous that this is happening and wish i could be in Malta to watch you arrive. I’m sure it’ll be a very emotional moment for the country.

Can you tell us who the pilots will be for the trip?

I’m fuming… Just spent the day at DX in the drizzly hazy misty low cloudbased clag. Most disappointed as it looks like i missed a good show by chosing to do the sunday! 😡

OH, btw T5 ignore your latest PM, somehow one of my folder permissions was wiped preventing anyone from viewing the contents. Strange. All sorted now.

VWA is back online again!
Sorry Daz, no hi-res version yet – need to find time to upload it, maybe the end of the week.

Thanks! Yes, it was my inspiration. I was going to try and replicate it exactly but i swung towards the post D-day situation and generalised it more.

Well, it’s all systems go!
At the moment only the 40mb .wmv is available to download as i’m having trouble uploading the mammoth 135mb divx file. It’s pretty good quality though so enjoy!

Let me know what you guys think, this is my first proper movie.

Trying to drum up a bit of extra publicity for you, at Virtual Warbird Art we are uploading the MoM skin pack this week so people with IL2-FB series can fly them. Here are the work in progress shots, the real skins will be uploaded by the end of the week…

If i’m not mistaken she was on static at Biggin at the weekend ust along from the static chinook. During the day three WAAF re-enactors were singing a few wartime tunes with some great harmonies and stockings 😉

Nice isn’t she? 😀 Tom’s got the hang of these Spitfire skins now and it’s nice to add his collection to the VWA website.

The skins are for the IL-2 Forgotten Battles Series/Pacific Fighters game.

These aren’t 60 year old aeroplanes! They are 60 year old designs, but the materials are probably far better than ever and they are almost definately maintained to a higher standard than that of modern airliners!
Age old debate, getting myself worked up again…

My point exactly.

Look at how the BBMF operate, they know what they’re doing. Other operators also chose how they fly their aircraft.
This is an age old debate that surfaces at least twice a year. Can we jsut nip it in the bud?

… I for one would be delighted to see this aircraft over here, even if it does fly in a straight line. But, it would also be great to see an experienced warbird pilot put it through it’s paces.
