and the Super Connie!
Should have (but does not have) the deeper chin for the enlarged oil tank to go with the increased fuel tankage. Don’t know about the rest. Mark12?
I’m sure the last time i saw her, must have been biggin hill 2000, she had the deeper chin cowling. It was PL983 that had the standard chin due to film work or something.
Absolutely brilliant!!! Well done to all the hard working guys at Fighter Rebuilders and Stephen Grey and Steve Hinton for making it all happen.
Can’t wait to see this beauty! 😀 😀 😀
Thats sweet Chris. I haven’t done a skin for IL2 since the early days. Must get the paint brush out again. My only problem is that they never really were very adventurous when it came to Spitfire paint jobs and I’m afraid the Spit is the one I fly the most.
You’ll be happy to hear i am currently working on a load of Spitfire IXc skins for release in about a week. I will be posting them to il2skins.com which already has a huge amount of skins available for every aircraft in the sim.
IL2 Forgotten Battles with the Aces Expansion Pack IMHO is the greatest Second World War combat flight simulator on the PC that money can buy at the moment. If you havent got it yet – Go buy it now!
Here’s a screeny of a mustang skin i made earlier this year…
Can’t wait to see this gem fly!
Headcorn?
Dan, you are a hero.
That profile is absolutely perfect!
Have you got a URL that i can print with the picture to give other people a chance to see your work?
Also, would you still like to give that Hurricane a go? 😉
regards and many thanks,
Chris
Well, i’m planning on going up the friday and camping at Fowlmere. Thus, hopefully being able to get to DX early both mornings for the display. Has anyone ever done this?

I likes the look of the props on this one…sorry the quality is not so good.
I found myself chuckling at this post. ‘Boring’ – lol!!!! These photos are absolutely fantastic and they give me a shiver everytimr i see them! What a beautiful beast she is. I, we can’t thank you enough greenskeeper and crystal lakes for bringing us these wonderful pictures.

I didn’t realise Phil Shaw had retired! He flew her at Legends ’01 IIRC? Stunning display indeed. Can’t wait to see her again, but in whos capable hands?
That’s great news. If all goes according to plan, when do you think she will grace the skies again?
thank you Stringbag, for the update.
Hmm… I wonder whether anyone can identify this.
Aeroplane and bird type please.
Grumpy, and I’d guess at pigeon.
