    James

Yeah, I did get your PM thanks.

There are quite a few nice photos on A.net of OASiS if you are interested.

Fantastic report Paul, sorry we could not meet up in DUB, but my friend and I went into the city as soon as we got there, walked down one-side of O’Connell St, had some lunch in Temple Bar, and then walked up the opposite side, then it was time to get the bus back to the airport to get our flight home!

I still havent got round to posting my trip report, but on reflection of yours, it kind of makes mine pointless…although I will try and get round to it at some point as it was my first time going to Dublin itself, but more importantly it was my first time on Ryanair…so I must get my opinions expressed!

As I said in my text whilst we were over there, I am sure there will be plenty of other opportunities to meet up!

Anyone seen the tv programme called Mile High…!:D:diablo:

For me personally, I work at LGW, and was approached by a work collegue who is gay. I nearly reported him to my manager for his behaviour as I took offense at first, but the very next day we just sat down in the staff canteen and chatted with each other. I told him that I was flattered that he liked me, but I was not interested, and he accepted that, and now we get on together just fine.

In terms of what your family think…again, just sit down with them and tell them exactly how you feel. At the end of the day it is a job within an industry that you have an interest in and want to be able to progress in the future, and you will work with some amazing people and visit some amazing places!

All that remains for me to say is good luck in whatever career within the industry you get into!

Did it never knew that 😮 do you know if it made it out on time?

    James

It is also reported in the lastest edition of Airliner World that another of their aircraft, B-LFA, did a couple of flyby’s at the Biggin Hill Air Show last month – and I didn’t go…damn!

According to the Captain that I spoke to on Tuesday (I was sorting his ticket out for his journey back to HKG!), ATC at MSE reportedly said to them that they were leaving pieces of rubber on the runway!

Yeah, it got back to LGW earlier than expected…I took my break from work at the time it was due in, just so that I could see it come into land, but it had landed and was taxiing off the runway just as I got there!

It is suppose to of departed at 20:40 yesterday, and I was waiting at the bus shelter by the staff car-park as I love to see their 747-400’s take-off when the sun is setting, but by 21:00 it still had not left the gate, so I gave up and went home…

Does EI no longer code-share with BA on its Dublin flights…?

    Here’s one very similar

Not as good as original find Steve…the second one is spoilt because the ripples in the water make the reflection distorted. But then that is my opinion.

Northwest Airlines said it is selling nine of its 65 A319s…

…At least some of the aircraft being sold had not been in use for some time, sitting idle and unpainted in the airline’s Minneapolis hangar.

I must confess that I do not know the in’s and out’s of the benefits of selling an aircraft or leasing it, but surley it would be better to lease them out to other airlines in order make some continual revenue from them throughout their operating period, rather than selling them off and getting just one lump sum for them. If they then agreed a purchase price from the airline after the lease period is over, then that would be better as it generates more money…or am I barking up the wrong tree?:o

Who are HM Heli Malongo Airways? Never heard of them before…

I like the livery as it is quite smart and goes well with the a/c.

With 27 738’s on order does anyone think MLA will ever be a base for FR?

Like someone else said in a recent thread…Ryanair are like a cancer of the aviation industry, in that it will spread to anyway, so I would not be suprised to see an FR base at MLA.

It is funny you mentioned this topic because I was speaking to the Duty Manager for Air Malta whilst at work earlier today, and he said that so far they [Air Malta] have not been affected by the FR flights to MLA, but he did say that if EZY were to start services (especially from LGW!), then they would be in big trouble!

Nice shot there James! I do like OASiS’s livery.

Their latest a/c B-LFC was at MSE doing circuit training yesterday, but it had to leave earlier than expected because it burst a tyre whilst doing one of its ‘touch n go’s’ and needed to go back to LGW to have it repaired in time for the evening flight to HKG!

I think it is mentioned in the Airliner World just out.

Indeed it is Andrew, just had a quick look through it and noticed it in there as well…so what is your opinion on the airline itself then?

But how many of us are preparing to fully upgrade our DVD players to HD-DVD or BlueRay in the near future?
And are we ready to replace,so soon, our “ordinary” DVD collection?

I have got a large collection of DVDs that I have managed to achieve in just 3 years…I now have 120+ films, and am dreading the day when oridnary DVDs will become a thing of the past! The amount of money I have spent and continue to spend on them is insane, what am I to do!

Btw, the last film I saw (incidentally the lastest DVD to add to my collection!) was Apollo 13 – love this film because I like Tom Hanks, mighty fine actor!

Might be wrong but it sounds like some planes are for/from London City airport  can you name the types off aircraft:D ?

    James

James, sorry but my aircraft regonition skills are not that good when it comes to private jets…

Your point about LCY could well be true though, I did not consider that one so thanks!
