Congratulations.
You either mistook a 737, A310 or 747……… for an A320! Or Worse still, could have been an MD-80!!!! 😉
I must have mistaken an A320 for a 737 or A310 then, as I would defo know if it was a 747 or MD-80…
Get your eyes checked, buy a pair of real strong glasses! lol
lol. Hate to tell you, but I already wear glasses… 😀
O yes I remember seeing a Air Plus Comet i think it was a A310 at LGW
james
Any ideas where it had come from and going to?
Looks like Air Plus Comet
That’s the one!
…but they don’t operate A320’s.
Ah, well I did warn you that my regonition skills are hopeless…lol.
Anyone know where they operate to/from LGW, as I have never seen it before?
I was at LGW yesterday but I was at the end off the runway so could not see North Terminal.Did you take a picture off it?
James
Fraid not as I don’t have a good enough camera to get a decent enough picture of it…and I only saw it very briefly as I was on the transit!
I have done a very rough idea of what I thought it looked like in paintbrush, but it was 24 hours ago since I saw it and so memory is not that good…lol.
Kinda like it, but I do feel it is too similar to MaxJet, nice colour though.
I would be up for going to AMS as I have a free flight offer to there from some tokens I collected a while back, but it would have to be a Saturday night stop-over? I am away in Canada from 23rd July for 3 weeks, so it would have to be sometime after that if possible as I should have my new camera by then…lol.
I extend everyone’s welcome to the forum mate, look forward to seeing some more so keep up the good work!
Am I right in thinking the Eastern Jetstream 41 would be inbound from Southampton, or do they fly from other UK airports to BRU?
Ok. Thanks for the advice you have all given…
Cloud 9, can you give an idea of budget ???? It would make the process of elimination a lot easier.
Well I am not 100% certain, but I recall my parents saying that they would be on a budget of around £150-£200…however, they have said that if I wanted something more expensive, I will have to pay the rest, but until I get a job to get some money, I will have to work to £200 as a maximum.
For the past year I have been using a Konica Minolta Dimage Z3, 4.2MP with a 12x zoom, which is the equivalent of a 35-420mm lens on a 35mm camera, and with anti-shake.
…For a non DSLR I think this is probably the largest zoom yuou can get. Hope this helps.
Brian
Thanks Brian,
Can anyone tell me if 12 x optical is the maximum amount of optical zoom a digital camera can have? If not, what is the max?
Any other suggestions for other cameras, I am wondering if Olympus or Fujifilm do any cameras in this type of range…?
Tony Christie – Amarillo
Is it me or is that a one-word song, or does it go by the full title “Is this the road/way to Amarillo?” If so, it won’t count…sorry!

Just done some research on ‘notable’ people from Blackpool…list is quite depressing though.
David Ball – musician (Soft Cell)
Zoë Ball – British television and radio presenter
Chris Lowe – musician – (Pet Shop Boys) (attended Arnold School)
John Mahoney – actor (Frasier)
Graham Nash (The Hollies, Crosby, Stills & Nash (and Young))
Robert Smith – musician (The Cure)
David Thewlis – actor (Professor Lupin in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban)
However, I did make an interesting discovery…Blackpool is also seen as the hometown of the rock band Jethro Tull, so why can’t they have Jethro International… 😀
OMG! What has the world come to…? Having said this, has anyone consider putting in a counter bid and get it named after themselves. Don’t know bout you, but I would be honoured to have an airport named after me, I can see it now – Jonathan Davies International, got a ring to it.
Or, perhaps they could do what Virgin did and sell the name of the airport on Ebay to the highest bidder… 😀 :diablo:
Think for me it has got to be the A320 as it is the most popular aircraft around (I think?), and just looks to me to be the most superior aircraft over all the Boeing 737 series. I must admit though that I do have a hankering for the 757-200 and the 747-400.
If anything, it is sometimes interesting to see how dirty the APUs make the rear of some of these aircraft – the Ryanair being a case in point…
Nothing that a bucket of hot soapy water and a sponge could fix… :p :diablo:
Nice shots by the way, it is always nice to see some ‘behinds’ 😀
Thought it was April 1st for a minute!
Even though it was posted on the 4th…? :p:D
