lol. interesting thread???
I am having a garlic and herb turkey steak and chips tonight, and tommorrow…roast chicken with pots, veg and a drizzling of gravey
(Oooo, love a bit a gravey now and then!) 😀
Just out of curioristy, as it is on the subject of food, but where does everyone shop for their food…do you use a high-street retailer/supermarket or local shops?

767, but it isn’t based at Bristol
The Cancun flight is a one-off using a 767-300ER,, that operates via Manchester
ahh, thanks for that… 😀
Nice shots, personally I think the pic showing the back end of the BritishJet MD-90 is the best, but am impressed you managed to get a shot of an RAF Tornado – well done! 😀
As far as I know, First Choice will be First Choice Airways flying on the A321. I don’t think they have more than one type based there at the moment.
If this is the case, what aircraft do they use for their services to Cancun?
Very nice indeed! 😀
lol. good comments so far, but here is mine:
“The airport authority announced today that trials of its newest defence to stop local spotters from wandering across the runway where a resounding success!”
British Airways investor day had a little bit of a suprise!
Willie Walsh announced he has taken options on 10 B777 for delivery between 2009/2010, ableit the model was unspecified.
Also more bad news for the employees… Willie Walsh also announch his first ever financial plan for the next 2 years, upto when BA moves into T5. He wants to slash another £450million from the airlines costs which will mean widescale joblosses across the company.
Walsh also announced a £200million investment for improvements to the BA.COM website and also better ClubWorld seats and new IFE across all 4 cabins (First,Club,WorldTrav+ and World Trav) with films on demand.
Ummm. Could be interesting. I think Willie is actually doing what BA should of done many years ago! Btw, my friend has just become a BA shareholder, although he only owns 1 share valued at 25p (lol!) he does get to go to the AGM!
Would anyone be able to tell me how I would go about learning to fly, I’m pretty sure its not cheap, but is there anyway I could learn – cheaply, i.e. scholarships or something – i’m pretty sure i’m not the richest of folk on this forum, but flying is definately something I’m interested in along with dozens of other things.
If you really want to get into commerical flying, I suggest you take the advice that has already been given (see below!):
My best advice would be to work very hard and do your absolute best! Get good grades and this will allow you the most flexibility…
With decent A-Levels, you can get onto a course that is being run at the university I am studying at, have posted a link to some details below, and have a contact number of the head lecturer of that particular course who might be able to advise you in order to find out what your best options are!

Hope it helps mate, PM if you want any further info and contact number!
…what’s the painted spiral on the cone at the centre of the fan for,…i see it on some engines, but not on others?
Interesting topic, I too have been curious to know why this is the case…and now I know – thanks for the information!
To hypnotize the curious onlookers 😉
LMAO!:D:D:D
So it has no assets, no money, no staff and no operations, but presumably lots n lots of liabilities for aircraft leasing etc – i think we can safely call that dead !! 🙂
What a sad joke the whole venture has turned out to be.
Think I have to agree with you on this. I honestly thought that AlphaOne would succeed, just goes to show how wrong I was. Mr H seems of taken all my luck I gave him in previous posts and thrown it back in my face…lol! :diablo:
We can discuss till the cows come home but BA hardly splash their details across the web, do they :D:D
I think they should at least put a press release out to say what their intentions are about T5 operations, but stress that they are temporary plans at this stage and are subject to change.
btw Grey, I love your signature – very funny! 😀
No T4 is going to Skyteam and Non-Aligned airlines (i.e. not in any alliance).
T3 will be, as we’ve said Oneworld
T1 will be for Star Alliance
T2 is being left empty.
So if oneworld are using T3, does that mean Virgin are going to move terminals? If so, which terminal are they going to use?
Have lost the will to live with this thread…
This might explain why he hasn’t had time to run an airline! :p
AGHHHH!:confused::confused::confused:MY HEAD HURTS!
Can someone please give me a proper and conclusive update on the whole situation with Alpha One, as it seems that I have become sooooo confused with it all, and have practically lost the will to live with this thread now!
upgrading to their premier service – 110 quid return 36inch legroom, complimentary cocktail before boarding etc, looking forward to it!
I worked for the ground handlers of FCA at LGW, and managed to get down onto one of their 767’s during boarding for an SFB flight, and the premium cabin was really nice, so hope you enjoy it. If you don’t, let me know!
