    Joe

No KabirT, in Europe they only fly to/from CDG, FRA and DME.

And indeed ThreeSpool, I agree that whilst it is not essential, it is quite clear that in this current era we are heading more towards an “alliance” based network of airlines seeing as it is increasingly hard for them to compete on the same routes as each other…

Would it not be Lufthansa…seeing as they were the first airline to show an interest back in 2008, and then followed it up in 2009 with an order for x30 aircraft, which are to be operated by Swiss European Air Lines, replacing their ageing RJ100’s?

Nothing new as far as I have heard…and their website is still exactly the same as it was six months ago, so I can only assume that its still “work in progress”…

I suppose it depends on whether EZY have their sights set on operating to AMS from SEN when they establish their new base there next year…as this would probably mean GLM would not be able to attract a big enough share of the market.

I thought bmi were getting rid of the A330s?

No, they moved them down to LHR from MAN when they stopped flying their routes to the USA from there…and then at least one of them went on lease to Turkish Airlines, and it has just come back from them; there was a small article on this in the latest edition of Airliner World.

Well usually most passengers choose to vent their anger, frustration and every possible expletive word under the sun on the staff…I however, would go to a Costa Coffee/Starbucks, buy an over-priced drink and sandwich/cake, sit by a window to consume said items and pass the time away by watching all the other flights taking-off/landing, whilst listening to my iPod!

Ok, so its finally ended…and the winning bid…£81,100.01…some people clearly have more money than sense!

Can’t be too harsh on the buyer though I suppose because at the end of the day the money raised is going to decent charities, but seriously lets hope that whoever has bought it isnt seen wearing it in public!
