Have you read Siobhan Creaton’s book?

You’ll find it in any good bookshop in Ireland.
I would fully recommend this book, and also a fairly new release would be the biography on Michael O’Leary…Michael O’Leary: A Life in Full Flight
What is there config on the plane i know it isnt F/J/Y i was wondering is J/PE/Y or just J/Y.
Hi Jet22,
OASiS’s config on their 744’s is approximatley 83J/278Y, although this varies as the aircraft have been sourced from other airlines (i.e ANA, Singapore Airlines), and have not yet been re-configured, but I think it is just B-LFC that has not been re-configured at the moment. They will obviously need to source more aircraft in order to offer the number of services that they are intending to launch…
The Y class offers 32in seat pitch, whilst the J Class offers approx 60in seat pitch.
Hope this helps.
San Fransisco – starts 1st January 2008
Sydney via Melbourne – starts 2nd January 2008.
I knew that they had intentions of serving San Francisco, but they originally planned to use Oakland Int., then some suitable slots were available at San Francisco Int, which is obviously better from a passengers perspective.
I also knew about the increase in services to/from LGW (was only aware of increases on Sun, Wed, Fri, not Tues!). I believe that they testing the second departure time over the Christmas period, with a view to making it permanent after Feb’ 08. I do wonder how long after that it will be before they introduce a second departure on a daily basis.
The best news though has got to be new services to Oz…:D
Any idea as to possible fares for the HKG-SYD route at all? They are sure to give the ‘big-boys’ a run for their money!
I also wonder if they will offer a baggage transfer service for passengers travelling to/from SYD to/from LGW, or whether they will still keep it point-to-point, as most other low-cost airlines currently do!
How dramatic can you get?!
The reporter on the local London news, after the main news at 10pm, compared the collision at LHR to the one that occured at Tenerife on March 27 1977 when the Pan Am and KLM aircraft collided killing 583 people.
Is it me or are these two incidents completley unrelated/uncomparable to each other?
If so, how on earth can they [the media] be allowed to make such a comparison, besides the fact that they have nothing else better to report on and it is yet another chance to jump on the ‘capacity at LHR is too much’ bandwagon, as it was mentioned right at the end of the reporters piece!
Some excellent shots there. I also like your watermark as well…it is hardly noticeable and does not ruin the quality of the picture.
What is it with airlines changing their livery schemes…first it was Spirit, their new livery is horrible, and now CSA have followed suit!:(
I also saw a Virgin Atlantic 747-400 taking off from LGW the other day, and it had their so-called ‘new’ corporate livery, and I dont like that one either!
I suppose from an airlines point of view, a change to their identity is seen as a good thing, as it provides them with a fresh new look, but I do wonder if it has any affect on its customers?
I dont think anyone would be that foolish enough to stop flying with a particular airline just because they dont like the look of the airline’s paint scheme on its planes…but it must be quite costly airlines to keep on changing their image?!
Thanks for all the replies and useful suggestions, keep them coming if you have any further advice/information!
Rick, my mother would like to know where did you take those photos?!
200 pounds is not a lot of money for a good camera with a lot of zoom. Are 2nd hand options acceptable?
Will £200 not even get me a camera with 10x optical zoom?!
The Fujifilm FinePix S5700 I saw was advertised at £140, which was ideal I thought?!
Also the voice of Atlanta Shore in Stingray 🙁
Oh my god! I never knew that, but now when I think about it I am suprised I never picked up on it before now!
I absolutley loved that show, and anything else by Gerry Anderson!:D

Very sad news indeed.:(
Besides, I keep telling you, I don’t drink. I keep telling everyone that but they don’t believe me.
Do you also keep on telling people that pigs can fly, Paul?
Honestly, I think you find they can!:D:diablo:
I refer you to a previous PM that you sent me when we were attempting to meet up at DUB in June…I do believe you said that a round or two of drinks were in order after your little photographing session on the mounds! Pity we couldnt meet up, as I had an earlier flight than you guys!
I think you should get a knighthood for ‘services to aviation photography’…arise Sir Paul!:D
Some of those photos are just mind-blowingly stunning.
The AA 757(w) is my personal favourite, nice to see the KLM 737 in the background, was that intentional!?
Coming a very close but equal second has to be the Auriginy ATR, VS 747 and the Singapore Airlines ones!
And lastly, is that Onur Air a/c on lease from another airline (i.e Saudi), as I have never seen one of their a/c with a beige coloured fuselage before?
…does that class them as an official airport vehicle and worthy of a photo here?
I should think so!:D
Nice pics of the seaplane there…any idea how well it is going for them in terms of pax figures at all?!
Some fantastic shots there. Ozjet 732’s are my favourite. Will be a shame to see them go when European Air Charter dispose of them!
Nice number plate as well…do you actually work for EZY?
