…..Better not say too much at this stage, but he’s aware of the auction and will be ‘discussing’ the issue with Phoenix in due course. 😉

Anybody know what happened then ?

As the Hunter was pulled from eBay a few days before its due date.

There’s Avro Shackleton by Barry Jones published by Crowood (in print and approx £30).

In the Alan W.Hall Warpaint series there’s one covering the Shack’ (but its out of print).

Shackleton At War & Peace by John Chatres, published by Ian Allan, plus a similar smaller book in the Ian Allan modern combat aircraft series (No3 i think)

Also, this website I can highly recommend for devotees of the SAAF Shacks…

    Indeed, second that comment.

Is the ‘M25’ asking price and/or owners just soooo difficult to deal with, that it really is cheaper to go Russia ?

    “Ask Seller a question” response

    ” Hi
Yes the aircraft has an undercarriage and wheels (but no brakes). The horizontal stabiliser is also there and we have a rudder for it. I do not have a picture of the interior available, but it is stripped of just about everything, with just the seat guns still fitted.
    Hope this helps,
    Best wishes,
    Ritch “
