almost aviation, just very low level.. 😀 I think theres a hovercraft museum down on the south coast thats got one.. it was on that channel 4 prog where they restored bits of mechanical old tatt for people.. actually there may be more aviation content as I think they had RR Tyne engines a la Belfat, Vanguard etc..
Neil.
edit: looks like they were Proteus rather than Tynes..
thanks for posting the pic – I saw it land on the Friday but didnt get chance to get down to have a look at it before chucking-out time.. 😀
Neil.
ah that explains why when I got in to work I was told that he was having to ‘do’ his display again… 😮
Neil
well my original plan was to ‘do’ Legends on Saturday including the Red Lion afterwards but that plan all fell apart.. wasnt sure if I was going to bother with the Sunday as thourght it was going to be too hot and too many people.. got up this morning though and decided to jump on the bike and got there about 11.45, which ment I just had enough time for a wander around, a spot of lunch and then watch the flying display.. didnt take any pictures, didnt buy anything (apart from Merlins Over malta raffle tickets) and didnt meet anybody (apart from mr and mrs PJ), but I had an excellent day..the mass Spitfire launch is always a fine thing and I thourght the commentary that went with the BBMF and B17 displays was excellent… first time I’ve been in the FOD/Flypast enclosure, the free drink was much appreciated… 😀 This was also the first year ‘ve been on the Friday and that was great, a must-do for me next year… maybe see sopme of you at th enext Shuttleworth evening doo?? Neil
ouch, thats a shame… hope its not too difficult a repair..
Neil
I’d imagine most of ’em are still in the pub… 😀
Neil

good to meet you and the rest of the team/gang/clique/chaps (delete as appropriate) yesterday and apologies for my brief visit to the Red Lion but it had been a long day, which didnt get any better as there was an accident/hold up on the way home… 😮
