Here is my Saab J-35 Draken instrument panel that I got recently. If I am not wrong, it comes from J-35J s/n: 35564 which was assigned to F10 as #64 just before it was retired in early 1990s.
I am looking for the missing indicators as well as the light caps, a gunsight and the radar scope. I would love to know, if you know anybody who may have them.
TIA, Batur

I have a Martin-Baker seat pack and a complete survival kit for sale. The seat pack is coming from a Belgian AF Mirage 5BA and it is suitable for a Martin Baker MK.4 and Mk.3.
The seat pack is tied closed for authenticity while all the stuff from the survival kit is outside the seat pack. Survival pack includes even the original drinking water kit, the emergency radio, etc. I even have the flare kit, 2 signal smoke kits but can not ship them!
The seat pack is likely to be full as well, however because it is sealed I do not know to be honest. All are coming from a Mirage 5 fighter.
You can PM me or send an e-mail to baturoo@yahoo.com, if interested.

batur

I have sent you a PM Gabby.
Hi Smirky
You’ve already got 1 instrument, only 40 odd pieces to go!
Does anybody have recommendations on how to rejuvenate black plastic backlit panels? I have a few to do similar to the one pictured and am trying to achieve ‘as new’ look.
Thanks Paul
Paul,
Try to clean the dirt with soap and toothbrush. After that put very little WD40 on a piece of cloth (old t-shirts work perfect), and wipe the panel with it. If you want, you can also wipe it afterwards with the dry part of the cloth in order to remove any excess WD40. Very easy and it gives perfect results.

Nice panel Ian. The missing left panel was on eBay UK a few months ago. It was a strange week as two Sea hawk panels were listed in a few days.
Anybody have a spare lanp unit of the ID-351 Couse Indicator?
Hello,
My newly purchased ID-351 course indicator was damaged in the mail. It seems that if I replace the light unit in the upper left corner, the problem will be solved. As many of us have several broken indicators in the collection, I wonder if anybody have any spare light unit for the ID-351. I do not want to get another ID-351 as this one is in very good shape.
TIA,

Thanks for your comments. I just received a mail from Michael France who confirmed that the F-4D seen in the photo was 66-8720 as the other two s/n 6X-X720 F-4D, namely the 65-0720 and 66-7720, were not in SEA in 1968. So, if I am not wrong, this is the first photo of 66-8720, and because all slides were taken in 1968, the photo must be taken shortly before the 8720 was shot down on 18 January.
Enjoy,

I also prefer WD40 + cotton cloth (an old t-shirt). Do NOT spray the WD40 all over the panel, but just the places needed. Put some WD40 also on the cloth and wipe all the panel with the cloth. Wipe as long as the WD40 is gone.
Lovely Phantom Tim. A very rare panel.
Here are some photos of my newly acquired CF-104 instrument panel. It comes from RCAF CF-104 s/n: 104706. The 706 was a unique aircraft as it was the Tiger bird of RCAF at the 1983 Sollingen Tiger Meet. The last photo shows the 104706 in its 1983 Tiger Meet colors at Sollingen. Because the RCAF never had any CF-104 painted in tiger camo in the later Tiger Meets, the 706 was the very last CF-104 painted in tiger colors. The 706 was also special as it was the first CF-104 that served in a RCAF combat squadron. It was the 6th CF-104 built, and if I am not wrong, the first 5 CF-104s were all served in experimental (non-combat) squadrons.
Sadly, I will sell this panel as I have a lot of projects to finish.
Enjoy,
Batur

That looks like the perfect item for an aerojumble. Ebay postage might be a bit steep!
This Mirage panel display has just come up in France, a very nice item… http://www.comptoir-aviation.com/
Are we allowed to say f.ck in this forum? If yes, f.ck its so beautiful. However, I do not think the price is fair as a complete Mirage 5 instrument panel was sold for 2000 EUR a few months ago. The parts and the workmanship that made this display do not worth an extra 7000 EUR.
It is always good to see an A-4 panel. Your panel is from a late (post 1963) C version, which was similar to the RAN A-4G. Unfortunately, the panel is pretty empty, so you have a long way to go in finding the missing parts (light panels, brackets, etc.). I have a similar panel (seen below) which comes from A-4C BuNo 148587. While it had many of its parts when I bought it, I am still in need of the huge mounting bracket located behind the panel that holds the radar scope and the ADI. However I am 99.2 percent sure that I will never find it.
As for the indicators, the problem is not finding them but knowing which ones to search for. So, you will need a parts breakdown manual to get the part numbers. I was lucky that I found somebody who has this manual, but he was such a nice person that he asked 70+ USD for the scan of the 4 pages I need.

Thanks Herbert. However, I am still after your G-91 panel!
Hello,
I have bought this TF-102 panel many years ago from a scrapyard in Turkey. It is the student’s main panel on the left side of the cockpit. However, the bracket like extension at the top of the panel is not something I have seen in the TF-102 cockpits. It is also not shown on the factory blueprint of the TF instrument panel. These make me think that the panel may not be from an actual aircraft but a ground trainer as seen in the last photo below. It looks like a pair of gun sights were located at the top of the panels in the trainer and the brackets might have been used for these sights. The layout of instruments on the trainer panel however was completely different than mine. Moreover, I am not sure whether the Turkish AF had any TF-102 ground trainers.
Anyway, I have the blueprints to make the plastic front cover of the panel and prepare it for a display. I am currently looking for a parts breakdown manual to get the list of indicators, lights, etc. attached on the panel.

Batur
