I especially liked the link on the other forum that takes one to a photo of a crane driving along a road headed to North Weald to recover the Hurricane…. but doesn’t have any pics of said aircraft….. LMFAO!!
Would a third party have permission to discuss something else, especially over a phone.
WTF? Permission from who exactly?
If someone calls up & says “Is there an aircraft sitting somewhat closer to the ground than it normally does?” Is the bloke on the other end of the line going to say “I don’t know if I can tell you that”
It’s a yes or no answer, or is North Weald now Area 51? Someone running around the peri track telling people not to look through the fence etc?

Isn’t some of the work done in the building next to Blenheim Palace etc? but yeah, you’re right, I have more tools in the first 20ft of my garage than appears in that hangar 🙂

Ahh, had you filled in a Risk Assesment? :diablo:
Where high wings are to be found, I am told that the BBMF have some fancy suction system that sits on top of the wing and then the personnel can attach themselves to it with a lanyard.
I remember many years ago at Dx someone was working on Lindsays Corsair, started to slide off & grabbed the brace which resulted in him dislocating his shoulder.
Altho given the mists of time it may have been the OFMC Corsair, I know it wasn’t TFC’s one.
but then i was trained on a javelin missile system wich makes guns exceptionaly boring after !!
My dad is the same way: 4.5 & 6in naval guns, Seacat & Seaslug missile systems, in charge of West Battery of Whale island etc… Asked if he wanted to go shooting while he was in the US & his reaction was “meh”
