Or is it just a case of silver being silver?

Any pointers or advice would be appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Tim

Far from it, Silver is the worse possible colour to match, there are THOUSANDS of varities 😮

How about this for the wheelhouse shape and position? 68 ft long by all accounts.

    Moggy

Angles of that wheelhouse look to be about as close a match as you can get… So, whats it doing there?

Place near me had a lot of stuff on loan (from me & others). It changed owners & about 90% of the stuff was weighed in for scrap or sold on ebay. I have yet to catch up with the specimen, but aparently he’s still in the area….

I woke up to this weather forecast today:

Hot. Sunny in the morning…becoming partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Breezy. Highs 100 to 109. West winds 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon.
Flash Flood Watch in effect until 6 PM PDT this evening…
Near record high temperatures expected through Saturday…

Which was later updated to this:

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening across the mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura counties…as well as the Antelope Valley. At 305 PM…Doppler radar indicated developing thunderstorm activity across the eastern Antelope Valley. One line of storms extended from just west of Saddleback Butte to near Llano along Highway 138. Another storm was developing in the foothills just south of Palmdale. The storms are drifting slowly to the northwest around 10 mph. Due to the fairly slow movement of these storms…there will be the potential for locally heavy rainfall. As a result…a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through 6 PM.

So, in then middle of all this, the water pump on my cooler goes tech & it starts blowing HOT air into the house.
I head out in the yard, admiring the lightning strikes all over the neighborhood (no rain at this point) & then realise that grabbing the metal ladder to get on the roof might be my last great idea…. so I retreat back into the house & manage to get it sorted from that end…

Anywho, I get the cooler running again & then nip outside to get something from my truck….I get about 6freaking feet from my front door & in the space of maybe 40 seconds about 1in of HAIL came down… I look at the thermometer on the side of the house that’s telling me it’s 104deg ….AND hailing….
