It’s currently 6v, will change it to 12v.

I’ll pull the starter & get that over to the shop & see if they have 12v equivalents… I’m dumping the 6v genny for an 12v alternator.

Those horns aren’t original, they’re going in the trash. The original horn is on the front right frame. It looks like one of those “AAAAhooGAH!” horns

Actually I just moved it a few miles from the ranch to a friends brothers place. It was 230 miles away, now it’s only 205 miles away… I have a free tow available through Triple A… with a 200 mile limit.. after that it’s $7/mile .. so it should cost me $35 to get it home now.;)

I hosed every nut & bolt down with AeroKroil before I left it. Still going to be an ordeal to get the wheels off, especially the rears. I’ll need to pull the head when it gets here if it won’t turn over… something is siezed.. but it may be just the right rear wheels..or possibly the shifter is knackered

So not one person on here has a colour photo of a WWII RAF truck?

Does anyone have a colour picture of something similar in RAF service?.. to aid my decision making on paint jobs.. 😉

Bed needs a bit of minor woodbutchery…

The father of the present day ranch owner bought it surplus right after WWII, They apparently used it until about 40 years ago when it was parked in that shed.
Once I get it home the first order of business is a bugbomb to get the Black Widows sorted, then fluids/battery etc. Then see if I can get it to run without too much grief or many/any leaks.

12v conversion might be a good start..

Any idea of the RAF used these? I thinking possibly roundels instead of stars on the doors…. 😉
