1974, walking across a wheat field in Notts when I should have been in school. Saw something out the corner of my eye & turned to look. VERY low Phantom coming straight at me. There was a whirlwind of dust/wheat/chaff followed by heat & then noise. He left evidence of his flyby in the crop & what had been 2ft tall wheat was now flat with me laying on my ass in the middle of it.
Arrived home about the same time as my dad & got “What the hell happened to you? You look like Catweazle”
Riding up the A303, Trees along both side of the road. Become aware of something loud pacing me to my left, look over & there was a Puma just the other side of the trees.
Driving up the 395 North of Edwards AFB one day. Shadow passed over my truck followed almost immediately by a B2 that damn near blew the windows out.
They fly a bit low around here, I took this pic in the middle of town. It’s blurry because I have an old auto-focus camera that can’t actually *see* B2’s
