Thanks Elliott
all parts are considred as you never know when they might yield an important clue; as I’m sure you know all too well 😀
John
Hi Elliott
329 would make that Stirling mainplane, I suspect that the large part could be remnants of a leading edge rib
John
Hi Kev
I think you’re right. the last photo looks to be something like a picketting point, I don’t recognise it on a Stirling but then I’m not overly familiar with items buried within the wing structure
John
Hi Richy
good to see you back on here
Thanks Sicobra
The group recovering BK710 have been very helpful to us and have donated several parts of that ac and loaned us others so that they can be drawn up. With any luck more parts will be recovered and put on display too
regards
John
Thanks Guys
Have just asked the question, will let you know asap if they’re of any use to us
regards
John
Happy New Year to you all
Work is still progressing and hopefully we’ll have some news to report soon on some complex parts that have been made:D
In the mean time, one of our new members (Sparkplug on here) has created a new Special Interest Group in the Community Section see here: http://forum.keypublishing.com/group.php?groupid=15
Please feel free to join and discuss all things Stirling
regards
John
Also the aircraft shown in the background in the original photo looked to be a B25 not an Electra. Otherwise an excellent film which even Mrs 12J thoroughly enjoyed
John
You’ll be surprised what we can get working again 😀
Most definitely Stirling Kev….
Possibly upper escape hatch
I think you know what my next question is…..:D
Brilliant work guys!!:applause:
If only I lived a bit closer:apologetic:
John
Great work there Paul:applause:
Well spotted Al, never noticed it myself:stupid:
in 3, 4 & 5 the item with the thin tube coming out of it is a sender unit off a pressure gauge (oil, Fuel)
Hi Bob
I believe that the project explored this avenue previously. there was no definitive evidence that drawings had been sent and if they did no surviving ones could be found.
