I have some what are you after in particular?
John
Really enjoyed our visit and speaking to the friendly volunteers.
Thanks Scott, thanks for the offer and will let you know when we’d like to borrow it
Brian
That’s a toughie! No Pt Nos and a vague pic LOL. The beam looks like it could be part of the cockpit structure and the cutout could be for the heater duct that runs down the stbd side of the fuselage, but that would just be a guess.
Congratulations Simon, you’re practically on my doorstep so will try and get across
John
Apologies, I’m slacking :highly_amused:
Scott, any history on the location where it was found? Would certainly be interested in borrowing it as it will be useful when it comes to making those parts up when it comes to that part of our cockpit
cheers
John
As promised here’s the drawing showing where this part is installed

Hi Scott
Stirling Pt No 1290616 is part of the break out window retaining ring located at fr 6 port and stbd (approx in line with the Nav desk, should be able to post a pic of the mofification drawing tomorrow
John
Hi Geoff
The AP for the 1154/1155 states that a ‘Londex Relay’ is required, have you got one and if so have you got a photo?
regards
John
Can we please have a Jag….
It’s for the main instrument panel and the info is taken from a modification leaflet. there is a possibility I suppose that a later mod then deleted it. I shall have to re-check my references:)
Although to be honest for all the instrument panel pics we have no 2 are alike…..
John
If you come across any Air Ministry Mk 4 or 8 Autopilot Gyros, we in the Stirling Project would be very interested.
cheers
John
Hi YK
Many thanks for the link. We’ve previously been in touch with the dive team and unfortunately there is little likelihood of the local authorities there allowing any recovery of the aircraft, which is a crying shame.
Welcome to the Forum btw
John
Hi Howard
No problem, yes we’re having to move again. It was always on the cards as the Alconbury site is being redeveloped (Housing / Light industry), our landlords have relocated us temporarily into another building which unfortunately isn’t suitable, but hopefully we’ll know a bit more in the near future about the availability on site of another building which will be more suitable and hopefully with a bit more longevity of tenure.
John
Hi Howard
sorry only just picked this up; been busy moving our workshop…….again! I was aware that our BAPC membership was discussed, didn’t know though that it was NAM that proposed us, ta muchly:very_drunk:
