Moocher – if you think Historic is cobblers, have you ever ventured onto the Modern Military section ? That truly is a cartload of Coprolite.

Which big name is going to be next I wonder ?

Dennis predicts Body Shop – the local one is so deserted it has tumbleweed blowing thru’ it. Every major competitor now has its own ‘ethnic/ethical’ range and Body Shop has lost its USP.

I have a long term project selecting usable prints from my filing system (i.e. old shoe boxes and albums found in the bottom of the wardrobe) and have scanned the following prints of F111’s. The Ravens (I believe that’s what they were called?) were shot at Alconbury mid-90’s; The RAAF example doing a dump-&-ignite was at Fairford a few years later – didn’t the Aussies lose one doing this very same party piece ?

Unfortunately the golf course is almost plumb in front of runway 29 and is probably a bit too close for comfort if a problem occurs on take-off, even accounting for the fact that most flights out of 29 do a sharp right turn and fly over Tewin village. A much better proposition (IMHO) is the park immediately to the south of the airfield. This is only well used on Sunday mornings with boys/youths football teams – the other six & half days it is used by dog-walkers by day (including me) and by drug dealers and yobs by night (not including me). It may not be able hold as many houses, but there are other usable parcels of land nearby. The football club could relocate to another park in the town.
With the government set to relax planning restrictions I get a sense that developers are getting more aggressive and will use what ‘tweaks’ they can to influence opinion. There are local movements against the proposals but they have to fight hard against lethargy amongst lthe local population, the make-up of which features a lot of incomers with no loyalty to the area and its history.

Probably somewhere in the region of £5 million upwards, if you wanted to buy & operate it for a few years. This is a rollover lottery type sum of money and, as it happens, there’s a rollover this Saturday (the 1st.December).
Don’t spend it all though, as the missus will want a new pair of shoes….

Noticed a DVD titled ‘Cockneys v. Zombies’ in my local Morrisons – is it as crappy as it sounds, or is it so awful it’s good ? Anybody seen it?

Most of those look like they’ve just spent the day at a windy late season display at Duxford.
Didn’t the second left, second row from top grow up to be Rodney (sorry, I mean Dave) ?. And didn’t the second right top row end up nude, with a rose clenced between his a**e cheeks ?

Thanks, Tony, I have getting on for forty years experience with film SLR’s but I’m finding a DSLR to be a whole lot more intimidating !
