Thanks for the replies. RIAT looks like a good one. Maybe throw in Yeovilton as well.

So, lets check out BBC2 for today. That pithy home of radical commedy and current affairs.

Good to see Hitler is still popular!

For all you BBC supporters make the beeb a subscription channel. Then at least we (I) can choose.
But I fear this will not happen as no one will subscribe.
As for quality. I’ll stick with the internet. ITV, CNN, Reuters.

Predators and Reapers are flown over the Persian Gulf because they are cheaper than flying P-3s. And the Iranians are known to use fishing boats to lay mines in shipping channels. That is why all white traffic is under close scrutiny and why a flotilla of mine hunters is kept in Bahrain and other gulf ports.

I would expect therefore to see a mix of coalition aircraft over the Gulf. Which other countries are patrolling at the moment?

    The soloution is very clear.
    Break up the BBC.
Make it free, get rid of the licence fee.
    Have advertising.

Now those pitiful few channels will be like the remaining 80 or so.
I don’t care. Get rid of em.

Had a very informative Sunday rememberance and never once watched the Beeb.

I hope they bring back the Biggin Hill Airshow in 2013 , it was a very very popular Event ,so why stop it in the first place

Firstly the reason the US flys drones of the coast of Iran is because they can, with impunity.

What I would like to know is what is the legality of the drone retaliating and downing an Iranian aircraft? Can that be claimed to be self defense?

I appreciate the loss from WW1 and WW2 and I watched many interesting programmes on Sunday. Most of which were about WW1.
I was quite surprised, perhaps a little sad that more recent wars were not mentioned especially Afganistan. A soldier died on armistice day in Afganistan. Just an observation, nothing more.
